villevav (300) - FINLAND - APR 22, 2015
[2015-03-07] Pikimusta, kuulas, luonnonvalkoinen vahto. Tuoksussa hieman yllättävästi sitruksista humalointia, joka virkistää kovasti paahteista mallaspohjaa. Maussa korostuu paahteinen maltaisuus, joka päättyy katkeruuteen. Hiilihappoja keskiasteisesti.

330ml bottle, #592, from djoeye, many thanks. Firm and stable, bubbly, fawn-coloured head leaving fair lacing on the glassware. A deep rustic tint to a very dark coloured body. Pleasant aroma of dark chocolate malts nicely balanced by piny hops. Well blended malt-fruity taste of grainy malts, liquorice, coffee, ash, pine and leafy hops. Roasted, well even burnt, bitterness to the ending. A little thin on the swallow. A clean and well-made beer (relaxing at home on a Friday eve, Tromsø 21.11.2014).

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2015 330ml bottle (Alko, Tampere)
Massive nettley hoppy aroma, later a bit piney. In the dark, it’s black, tight head, but red glints. Quite fizzy palate, becomes moussey. Full roast some nice chocolate. So much bitter hops, biting and metallic and noble, quite a tingle. Real full bitter hops with every mouthful. Finish burnt and dry.
Rerate: 330ml bottle - @Martjoobout 1K - congrats! (6:4:5:3-:11=2.9-)
Stale coffee aroma. Very dark red, beige head. Thinish palate. Dirty roast. Dusty dirty burnt finish. Too dry, not thirst quenching.

djoeye (2135) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 28, 2014
Really dark mahogany beer with vanishing cocoa bubbly head. Lacings as filigree ghosts inside the mug. Aroma; sweet citric resin, cocoa milk, floral hops, roasted malts and caffé latte with lemon droplets. Taste; dark chocolate, roasted malts, apricot, peaches, notes of ash, dark wood. Ashy malty finish. Normal to light bodied. Clean feel. [33cl brown bottle, 5.3%abv, 12.5°, IBU35, BB31xii14, B@Alko Fi, T@höme]

Flaske 330ml fra Alko Muonio. Dyp mørkebrun. Høyt luftig skum med litt filigranser. God aroma av røstet malt. Smaken litt metallisk med hint av kaffe. Syrlig bitter ettersmak. Avslutter tørt.
