Draught at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki. Clear choclate brown, small head. Aroma of salty grapefruit and chocolate. Light-medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of black currant and crystal malt. Mid bitter finish.

Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki. Dark amber, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and light fruitiness, some citrus hoppyness. Lightly sweetish and lightly fruity brown ale - not too sweet/not too much caramel. Unfortunately quality varies between batches.

4,5%, different recipe? - Pours dark brown with a massive foamy and smooth white head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, chocolate and slightly roasted malts. Taste is surprisingly fruity with notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee with some roasted malts. Finish is fruity and slightly bitter with roasty hints. A bit untypical, but tasty brown ale.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2013 Tap @ Kaisla, Helsinki 29/02/2012. Pours a dark brown with a stylish, dark beige head. Aroma is fruity roastiness. Taste is slightly roasted, tones of pine, loads of fruitiness, grapefruit and even tones of fresh strawberries. Palate is a bit light, not watery though, high carbonation, a bit too much maybe. Pretty light, but maybe that’s why the roastiness and fruitiness aren’t too stingy like so often with DIPAs and black IPAs.

Draught@SOPP 2012. Deep coppery amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, chocolate, mild roast and some slight floral notes. Flavour is roasted malts, sour coffee, berries and some mild wooden notes.

Pours dark copper color with small head. Aroma of mild malts, nuts, grass and fruity notes. Flavor of some orange, burnt malt notes, yeast notes and hay. Medium carbonation, easy to drink. Quite nice actually.

A dark brown beer with a big, quite dense and beige head. Aroma is interesting mix of roastiness and citrusfruity hoppyness, some pine needles and chocolate. Taste is roasted, dry grapefruits, coffee and some herbs in the aftertaste. Light+, nice carbonation, but body is too light. Nice and interesting, quite hopped beer, Cascade fitts nicely and gives freshness into this beer.

Dark ruby color, small beige head. Aroma has chocolate-coffee, some caramel and hops. Light bodied. Chocolate, coffee, light hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice toasted aftertaste with light hoppy notes. Very balanced and clean. Just needs a bit more kick (=higher ABV perhaps). Good one from Stadi.

Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma coffee, burnt malts. Slightly dry metallic taste. Low palate. Not Bad.

33cl bottle, batch #424, BBE 10/2012. Poured dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has light fruity hops and milk chocolate, light roastedness. Flavor has milk chocolate and citrus hops. Light bitter and fruity finish. Watery. Good to see another good brew from Stadin. This one felt very fresh as well.
