Bottled (From Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruity, slightly farmyardy with citrus and some slight sweetness. Flavour is rather bitter with some citrus and earthyness. I’d like some more funkyness in the flavour, instead of the big biterness... Still quite a nice one.

On pouring, a lovely crisp grapefruity citrus and exotic fruit aroma. In the glass, the head gives off a classic saisony belgian yeasty aroma, fairly spicy, but sweet too. Slightly biscuitty. Pours a mostly clear orange with huge spongy head that’s fairly persistent. Quite light in the mouth, pleasant carbonation. Spicy and bananaey retronasals. Heavier later, some slightly bocky (i.e. plasticky) sweet malts. Slight saisony funk, but mostly this is just a hoppy belgian ale. Plenty of spicy hops, quite herbal and undergrowthy. Finish has some lighter more aromatic fruits, as well as a nice earthy bitterness. There’s a little bit of everything, it’s a curious mix.

Clear copper color, micro bubbles white head. Spicy, herbal, elderflower, sweet, light phenolic scent. Herbal, floral, bitter, sort of sweet taste. Bitter, fruit peel aftertaste. Spritzy and "growing" mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Dry fruit peel and pith, some grapefruit, finish.

Hazy dark amber colour with a big fluffy off-white head. Yeast, rubber, berries, cardamon, fruits and some spices in the aroma. The flavour is bitterish hops, yeast and spices. Quite nice. Soft carbonation.

Pours hazy orange color with a large head, leaves some lace. Aroma of floral hops, some toffee notes, even some exotic fruits like mango and mild yeast, quite nice on the nose actually. Flavor has some sweet caramel and toffee, stuffy fruits, yeast and some faint strawberry notes on finish which gets a bit stronger when the beer warms up a bit. Definitely better than I expected but could have been a bit crispier and fruitier. Nice attempt though.

Pours a cloudy copper amber colour with a large white head. Aroma of sweet exotic fruits with some floral notes. Flavour of caramel, sweet exotic fruits, floral hops, pine needles and the same strawberry jam notes as was on their American Barley Wine. Medium bodied, a bit harsh mouthfeel and a dry, malty and bitter finish. Strawberry house flavour does not fit in here either.

Aroma has yeasty notes, fruity hops and . Flavour has fruity hops, some yeasty notes, grass hints of gooseberry bush and bun dough. Feels a bit stuffy.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - erä #476-7D - BBE 1.9.2013, from Alko, 20130209) The beer poured muddy orange coloured and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, spices and malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, Belgian style yeast, fruitiness, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, hoppy and bitter. As the name says this is a hoppy American style beer brewed with Saison yeast. Bit harsh but also pleasantly intersting.

Batch 476-7D, BBE 1.9.2013 - Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of floral hops, grass, funky bretta notes, hints of orange and spices. Taste is floral, malty, quite dry and fruity with hints of stuffy sweetness, spices, pepper and mild bretta notes. Finish is malty and crisp with some sweet caramel and floral hops, hints of yeast. Quite malty and sweetish for a saison, and the bretta notes are a bit too subtle for my taste. Still quite tasty, though.

33cl bottle. Batch #476-7D. Amber color, white head, lacing. Orange, yeast, floral and kinda sweet aroma. Flavor is doughy, sweetish at first but later on drier. Hoppy and fruity, light spicy. Overall interrsting, but the sweetness was disturbing.
