COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amerikkalaisilla käpyhumalilla aromihumaloitu, perinteinen belgialainen maalaisolut. Aromihumalten hedelmäinen kukkaisuus täydentää saison- ja brettanomyces-hiivakantojen monimuotoisia käymisaromeita. Pullokäyvä, hopback- ja kuivahumaloitu täysmallaspintahiivaolut.

Bottled (From Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruity, slightly farmyardy with citrus and some slight sweetness. Flavour is rather bitter with some citrus and earthyness. I’d like some more funkyness in the flavour, instead of the big biterness... Still quite a nice one.

Batch #476-7D. Slightly hazy amber color, decent beige head. Aroma of fruity American hops, grassyness, berries and tiny note of bretta. Lacks typical Saison yeast aroma. Medium bodied. Fruity, sweetish berryish front. Then some bretta sourness and late piney hoppyness. Orval meets strawberry jam and American hops. Not much Saison to me.

FatPhil (9616) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 2, 2013
330ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
On pouring, a lovely crisp grapefruity citrus and exotic fruit aroma. In the glass, the head gives off a classic saisony belgian yeasty aroma, fairly spicy, but sweet too. Slightly biscuitty. Pours a mostly clear orange with huge spongy head that’s fairly persistent. Quite light in the mouth, pleasant carbonation. Spicy and bananaey retronasals. Heavier later, some slightly bocky (i.e. plasticky) sweet malts. Slight saisony funk, but mostly this is just a hoppy belgian ale. Plenty of spicy hops, quite herbal and undergrowthy. Finish has some lighter more aromatic fruits, as well as a nice earthy bitterness. There’s a little bit of everything, it’s a curious mix.

Clear copper color, micro bubbles white head. Spicy, herbal, elderflower, sweet, light phenolic scent. Herbal, floral, bitter, sort of sweet taste. Bitter, fruit peel aftertaste. Spritzy and "growing" mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Dry fruit peel and pith, some grapefruit, finish.
