3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Villi Wäinö
Aroma is roasted and rich on oat and malty notes. Also some roastiness and cocoa. Smooth and creamy palate. Flavour has oat, roastiness, some salty licorice and ash. There is also a tart and sourish twist, which I guess is the Belgian element here. Quite porridge-like stuff, like a light version of Ellezelloise Hercule. Not sure if I like this or not.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki. Colour is black with slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, fruits and roasted malts. Can’t find any Belgian in this. Very confusing and total mess.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
(Keg at Villi Wäinö, 20140321) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, almost whit and it lasted long. Aroma had roasted malts, Belgian style yeast and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sourness, Belgian style yeast, vinegar, burnt malts and bitterness. Afteraste was sour, acrid and bitter. Aroma was good but the taste was something completely confusing.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap @ Willi Väinö, Helsinki 20/03/14. Pours a dark brown, almost black with an auburn tinge. Large beige head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is a nice roast and liquorice. Taste unfortunately isn’t much good. Dry with some roast in the beginning. Light coffee. Quickly turns a bit ethanol, some Belgian ethanoly maltiness, quite a bit of unpleasant wooden flavor on the finish. Thin body, too much carbonation. Unpleasant with all its thin woodiness.

Keg (Villi Waino, Helsinki)
Huge grainy aroma, porridgy, but with a very nice roast too. You really feel close to the brewing process! Basically black, small beige-to-tan head. Fullish palate, pleasantly crisp carbonation cuts through any heaviness. Very nice roast, toasty - slightly burnt toast. Kinda raw taste, again, you’re back to the brewing, you’re right in there with it. Finish dry dry dry, not quite earthy. Has that "want another glug" aspect to it. Did like most thing about this, but something tells me it’s not as good as the hedonistic components tell. Can imagine this not working for others.
