Off-white layer, clear golden-amber body. Scents of floral caramel malts. Very sweet taste, berry peels, dessert-ish. Candied on palate, well wrapped alco. Finishes as broken wood with wooden syrup, but nice enough. [33cl br btl abv8% 18,6°P, b@Alko Kemi 26-5-2014, 5.09€, T@Rating w Finn & Rune]

Flaske 0,5l. Spandert av Rune og delt med ham og djoeye på seanse i WC-veien 4 Jun 14. Aprikosfarget. Lavt luftig skum. Søt plommearoma. Smaken er søt frukt. Sukkertøy. Blir alt for søt.

330ml bottle bought at the Alko store in Kemi. Fair beige head to a filmy layer. Amber coloured body, slightly hazy. Apricot and sweet malts on the nose, subdued vapour of alcohol. Bread and sweet apricot to the taste character, jam-like. Dry and sweet to the ending. Medium bodied. Way too sweet and rather heavy to drink (shared with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 04.06.2014).

Bottled. A bit hazy, quite dark for a light beer. Aroma of sweet yeast. Extremely sweet for a bock, and a bit boring finish.

A: Dark amber color, a bit cloudy, head with bubbles going up. S: Some malt, floral hops. T: Malt sweetness, goes into bitterness, finishes alcohol. P: Very lagery light, sparkling carbonation. O: A very light tasting beer with very little telling it’s ABV. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 Clear orange beer with lots of white head leaving lacing on the glass. Aroma has berries, caramelly sweetness, grassy hops and little alcohol. The aroma actually reminds me of Stadin American Barley Wine. Taste is malty, caramelly sweet, berryish, licoricy and bitter with some alcohol. With all that stuff it ends up tasting not as good as it should. Mouthfeel is fuller than medium with medium carbonation. Finish is medium long with some bitterness and some alcohol. Would be a really enjoyable beer without all that alcohol coming through.

gyllenbock (4447) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2013
Bottle from Alko, Arkadia, October 2013. A bit hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma and taste of malt, hay, light hops, caramel and some alcohol. The body was medium and the the finish on the dry side. An ok one.

Bottle 33 cl, alcohol 8,0%. Golden orange color with small smooth almost creamy head. Notes of malts, citrus, caramel, bread, earthy, vegetables. A bit too harsh at beginning which does mellow out somewhat. Bitter middle and malty finish. A pretty decent doppelbock.
