Aka Delikat. Mildly sweet aroma has bread and bit caramel, dark fruits. Colour is clear brown with thin white/beige head, some lacing. Taste has mildly roasted malt. Thin, almost watery. Slightly bitter. Medium finish. Overall too thin beer with mild flavors. Needs more "it".

Bottle. Clear brown / dark amber color with a minimal head. Mild metallic aroma of caramel. Taste is a little better. Main flavor is caramel. Smooth texture. It’s more like a vienna than dunkel for me.

Tide (2696) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAY 30, 2012
Bottle from super market (named as Stallhagen Delikat). Amber color, white head. A bitter taste with citrus and caramel. Good, refreshing lager that actually has quite a bit of aroma in it.

330ml bottle (Nordlandia ferry) - I guess this is the dunkel III under another name? I’ve not had that for ages, so even if so, it’s worth a re-rate.
6 Rich grainy aroma, very much a german dunkel.
4 Rich copper colour, small tight head.
6 Again, like a classic grainy German dunkel, but with that Finnish malt giving a sweet twist to it. However, it’s not predominantly sweet, it’squite dry and husky with the grains, and very well attenuated.
3 Smooth palate, OK carbonation. Simple continuation of the taste in the finish. Reasonable barky bitterness.
11 All in all rather simple, but very well made and plenty of chewy grains to get your teeth into. Not quite as I remember the dunkel III, so maybe it’s a different recipe. Then again, Stallhagen have changed brewer since then, so anything’s possible.

330ml bottle (Eat&Joy, Helsinki)
Mahogony, tiny head. Lagery aroma. Some malts, touch of cocoa powder or stale coffee in places. Crisp carbonation. A bit watery. Roasty in the mouth, some dry bark bitterness. Finish is drying bitterness and quite long. Quenches the thirst, has decent amount of flavour, but rather dull. (Being dead and in a bottle doesn’t help.)

Bottle:   Pale copper, very clear, thin sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Very faint roasted malts, extremely soft coffee grounds.   Somewhat of a dank maltiness up front, thins out quickly tho.   Clean, but wow does it fall off quick.   For a Dunkle, its very pale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, but nearing the thin side.   Its like they stretched this one out by adding extra water.   Good start, but fades too quickly.   Thanks for the bottle Ron!
