2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
No head. Small aroma that compares to the finnich "Kotja kalja" with hints of burnt maltiness. Lots of caramell tast and also residual sugar. No or lite hops and bitterness. One sided beer that gets booring after one bottle.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark amber colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty. The flavour is sweet, slightly roasted, malty with a touch of hops. Some bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied. Not the best beer Ålands Bryggeri has to offer but still quite good.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled, BBE 10/09. Dark golden, firm white head. Buttery nose, with pepper and hay, faint metallic notes, alcohol and hint of nuttiness. A bit alcoholic, mildly buttery malty flavor, herbal notes, low bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth low carbonation. Reminds me of some Baltic strong lagers, and that’s not a very good thing.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
The smell and the taste is sour, sweet and malty with a nasty bitter alcohol finish. Actually a both strange and disgusting beer !

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
330 ml bottle. Copper color, no head. Grainy aroma. Hoppy, resiny flavor. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Not bad, but it could be so much more.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A bit watery for a dunkler bock. Quite sweet, some roastiness and caramel. Soft carbonation. There are better choices for this kind of beer. Too easy to drink for such a high alcohol %.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2009 330 ml bottle. Minimal head vanishes almost immediately. Colour is reddish-brown and not very dark. Liquid is clear. Roasted malts and alcohol in aroma. Flavor is dry, bitter and a bit sour. Body is medium and texture somehow sticky. It is the dry and hoppy and alcohol in the finish that leaves sticky feeling in mouth. Carbonation is light, but harsh. I think it might have been a bad bottle (21 p.).
-------- Jan 20, 2009) The head is white, thick, cloudy and creamy. The colour is clear copper to amber. The aroma has grains and bread, some hops and sweeter fruitness. The flavor is sweetish malty, bready and slightly toffy. Drier in the finish. Light to medium bitterness and interesting fruitness in the finish too. The palate is soft, low carbonated and medium bodied. It´s a totally different beer now (34 p.).
