2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - MAR 23, 2008
Dark brown, small beige head. Nose is a bit sweet & malty, some burned notes. Flavor quite dull, some dark malts with little hop bitterness. Light bodied, watered palate. Fortunately this one doesn’t have that typical finnish metallic tinge. Dull but drinkable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bierkoning (9033) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - FEB 4, 2008
Bottle from Tbone_, thanks! Dark brown color. Caramel and pear in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, fairly low on carbon. Pear, hints of cinnamon and caramel. Very pleasant beer, maybe a bit thin and onedimensional, but an easy drinker with just enough character.

Courtesy of mabjork, tack Marcus!
First product of new brewmaster (ex- Stadin brewmaster Tom Skog). Dark nut brown color, small off-white head. Malty, roasted, chocolaty and a bit sweet nose. A bit fizzy carbonation, but otherwise quite soft mouthfeel, nuts, light toasted notes, low bitterness. A bit too thin/watery, otherwise clean and propably decent drink with Christmas food.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 sayravai (4654) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 7, 2007
(Bottled, thanks Markku K.!) Clear, dark copper with a smallish, beige head. Toffee-malty aroma with some sweet roastiness and hints of chocolate. Sweetish-malty, lightly roasty and chocolatey flavor with low bitterness and hints of metal. Light to medium-bodied, a bit thin, quite low-carbonated palate. Not the strongest or most interesting effort from Stallhagen. Reminds me of the memory trace I have from Hartwall’s Chocolate Porter a few years back.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mabjork (659) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 25, 2007
UPDATED: APR 1, 2008 Bottled. Clear light brown in color, bubbly / creamy beige head, lacings. There is a malty and fruity aromaWith hints of roasted chocolate. The flavor is surprisingly soft, almost watery. There is a malty and hoppy precense. Not one of their best I’m afraid.
