Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Apr 17, 2008 courtesy of oh6gdx - pours a clear ruby-brown colour, almost no foam left; aroma of butter and caramel, sweet and poor malt body; some late tartness, slightly toasted; moderate and flat caramelish finish - very modest
Ibrew2or3 (1705), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008Courtesy of Degarth. Pours brilliant amber with almost no head. The aroma is bold yummy caramel blended with Concord grape jam sweetness. The taste has mild notes of sweet nearly grainy malts. That note gets crushed by sweet dark fruity esters and bold notes of caramel and sweet caramel flavored salt water taffee. Very nice but it adds up a bit too sweet after a few ounces are consumed. Jukkabro (2369), Tampere, Finland May 14, 2008 Dark amber colored with little yellow head. Chocolate and licorice here in aroma with some berries, some Swedish flowery hops come up. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also similar with chocolate and berries, aftertaste dries slightly with fruits. Ok beer with smooth palate. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 21, 2008 Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear mahogany colour, minimal head. Aroma of molasses and coffee. Sweet and woody with clean mouthfeel and light body. Feels primitive with insufficient malt and low bitterness. ante (2503), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden Apr 20, 2008 Bottle, shared by omhper. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a small white foam. Malty sweet aroma of caramel, fudge and almond-paste, hints of cherries in the background. Medium-bodied with a malty sweet flavour of fudge, nuts and cardboard. Malty finish of nuts and toffee.
