330ml bottle shared by Finn. Fading, off-white head. Deep, golden-brown body. Aroma of herbal hops, basement and caramel malts. Slightly roasted, buttery caramel malts in flavour. Bittersweet endnotes. Acceptable (session at Finns in Tromsø, 17.01.2013).

chriso (7428) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2010
Bottle, tasted in December 2009. Pleasant reddish amber colour. Quite bready in the aroma and flavour. Some caramel as well on the palate. Slightly metallic mouthfeel. As usual with Stallhagen beers, this was a step up from Finnish macro brews but not up to the standard of the good micros. Palatable but a little dull.

330 ml Bottle. Finland. Dark colour. Roasted malt flavour was much more than I expected.

A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
Very dark red amber with just a faint white rim. Very fruity, lots of caramel or toffee and a hint of spice. Slight cardboard and cheap advent calender chocolate. Run of the mill Scandinavian Jule beer. Genius lablel.

Ibrew2or3 (7107) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 24, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2008 Courtesy of Degarth. Pours brilliant amber with almost no head. The aroma is bold yummy caramel blended with Concord grape jam sweetness. The taste has mild notes of sweet nearly grainy malts. That note gets crushed by sweet dark fruity esters and bold notes of caramel and sweet caramel flavored salt water taffee. Very nice but it adds up a bit too sweet after a few ounces are consumed.

lusikka (6562) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 6, 2010
330 ml bottle.
Pours a clear, slightly darkish copper colour with a small foamy head. Visible bubbles. Flavour of strong traditional Finnish peasoup with only slight maltiness. Flavour of peasoup and other vegetables with some malts in the back. Light/medium bodied, slick mouthfeel. Skunky aftertaste. Not christmassy at all and quite bad in general with it’s weird taste. You can’t make a Christmas brew with peasoup.

laiti (5975) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 29, 2013
33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 21.06.2013
Aroma is malty with bread, some syrupy notes and hints of hay. Flavour is also rather malty with nuts, syrupy notes, some bread, caramel and hints of chocolate. Slightly dry and nutty finish. Decent.
