larsga (2314), Oslo, Norway Apr 25, 2008 Small coarseish light brown head quickly disappears. Nearly opaque black body goes deep dark red at edges. Light roasty licorice malts aroma with perfumy notes. Dry-sweet salty licorice (salmiak) taste with dense malty chocolatey notes. Very nice. (0.33l bottle from KnutAlbert.) bierkoning (4933), La Tropica, Netherlands May 13, 2008 Bottel from TBone, thanks! Deep dark brown color. Aroma has cherry sweets and a hint of peat. Malty sweet, slightly smoked flavor, with some citric tartness. Thinnish, but quite drinkable and also likeable. TET (133), Finland Mar 14, 2008 Very dark brown beer with thin beige head. There are lot of sweet malts and some roasted malts in the aroma. Flavour is quite roasted and there are not anymore sweetness. Above all, flavour is quite dry. Carbonation is very low but it fitts nicely into this beer and palate is oily and nice. Body is little too thin. Overall impression: Påsk is balanced beer but it is too simple especially with flavour were should be something more interesting features. Jukkabro (2394), Tampere, Finland Apr 26, 2008 Dark red-black colord with vanishing yellow head. Aroma is roasted with caramel, chocolate and some creamy stout note, thin perfumy tone also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is even more stoutish with coffee and caramels also present. Aftertaste is still sweet with nice touch of Saaz. Nice aftertaste. Doggythedog (1020), Split, Croatia Jul 16, 2008 RBESG08 grand tasting Murky brown body. Malty raisiny nose. Sweet malty taste, notes of caramel. Ok dunkel.... which makes it better than the other Stallhagens I’ve had I guess.
