COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Listed as Stallhagen Påskebrygd on Stallhagen webpages.

Tekniska värden;
-abv 6,8%

As Stallhagen Julbock. Very dark brown color with a little white head. Aroma of dark bready maltiness with roastiness and a hint of nuts. Taste is light sweet and roasty; malt character is very solid. Bready, nutty flavours are abundantly present, hoppy notes do not really feature. Palate is medium bodied, texture a bit creamy with a moderate to high carbonation that seems a bit too lively for this style, especially given the strength. Despite that this is a nice dark bock; a good companion for meaty dishes, I would imagine.

0.5 bottle as Julbock. Very dark brown, almost black with a big, brown, dense head. A sweat aroma of dark malts, some bread and licorice. Taste is coffee-like, has some bitter notes as well as sweet ones from malts and an unusual, salty touch. Medium body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is a softer version of the taste, much more balanced and a bit less salty. Overall the beer has potential for being great but it requires some balance in my opinion, also the saltiness impairs the general experience.

As "Stallhagen Julbock". Dark brown, almost black beer. Little beige head disappearing fast (with little lacing on glasses of bottle sharers, not mine). Aroma is dark bready, loafy and malty sweet with sugary syrup and salty licorice. Flavor is sweet loafy malty with little salty licorice and peat. Medium full palate with quite high carbonation, but not making the beer too harsh. A pretty decent dark lager.

Jälkimaku on yrttinen.
