COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewmaster, Mats Ekholm, was inspired by the red brown granite of the Åland islands when he developed Stallhagen US Red Ale.

Before Prohibition, American Red Ale was a popular variation of the Irish Amber ale in the US. This top-yeast beer was made of domestic, American raw material. The ale is relatively light but clearly hopped with definite aromas of dried strawberries. The full bodied taste has notes of coffee with smokiness from roast coffee.

Flaska från @msbrindbergs, tack. Fin bärnstensfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Frisk fruktig doft men lite klen i smaken.

Flaska från Vikingline. Snygg! Dimmig rödbrun vätska med bra skum. Känner faktiskt jordgubbar i doften blandat med lite smörkola. Fruktig med kolatoner. Saknar kropp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

djoeye (1535) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2014
Off white head, some spots as lacings in the mug, and red-brown coach-coloured beer. Aroma; caramel, resin, fruity and fresh hops. Taste; juicy fully resiny caramel, apple, wood, spices. Very comfortable on palate. Fine fading finish on fruits and somewhat sweet resin. Good brew. [33cl brown btl 6%abv° BBunreadable / Session with Rune&Finn]

330ml bottle shared with Finn and djoeye. Fair fawn-coloured head. Next to clear amber coloured body. Faint lacing. Sweet citrus on the nose, including a note of ripe oranges. Sappy taste profile of juicy malts, lomon and orange, mid-sweet. Drying citrus peels to the ending. Well balanced. Soft on the swallow. Nice and tasty (Tromsø 27.08.2014).

Flaske 330ml anskaffet av djoeye og delt med ham og Rune i WCveien 27 Aug 14. Dyp rødbrun. Høyt luftig skum med kniplingslacing. Aroma av tørket frukt. Balansert smak. Mye fersken. Blir syrlig etter hvert.

Decent ale from a style that usually is pretty boring. Somewhat hoppy with lemon zest in aroma and taste. Smooth and well balanced.

Bottle @ Åland ferry 20140802. Hazy red with large bubbles, ok head. Aroma of caramel, floral hops and yeast. Taste is similar with a tiny bit of alcohols and an US05ish yeasty tone. Rich maltiness, yet not too sweet and cloying. Well balanced.

Red and copper colored beer with small head. Aroma has hops, yeast and malt. Taste is bitter, fruity, hoppy and caramel. It has some grape flavor also. A bit raw taste, but not bad at all.
