COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

Pours a rich golden color with a finger of sticky foam. Nice complexity on the nose with touches of spicy yeast, tart fruit, citrus hops and a bit of funk and bubblegum too.The palate is just as complex and follow the nose nicely with great balance and drinkability. Crisp clean and focused with a nice dry finish. Very happy with this beer !

Single bottle. Date seems to imply freshness past ~ late Feb. Tulip Glass. A:Peach colored haze with a finger of head. Good retention and lace but no bubbles visible though the haze. S: Tart wheat, grain, maybe a bit of bubble gum. T: Again, tart flavor with a wheaty note along with a slight vinous/apple finish. A bit of hop bitterness seems an afterthought. No booze detected. Cidery. M: Light, smooth body and average carbonation finishing clean and slightly fruity. O: Not a style I’m well versed in but not bad at all. Of course, Prairie pricing means it’ll be a long while before I have this again.

Chmiele: Motueka (NZ) Słomkowy kolor z nietrwałą, syczącą i szybko uciekającą pianą. W aromacie już od zrzucenia firmowego kapselka czuć belgijski charakter. Drożdże, wyraźna zbożowość. Następnie pszenica i delikatne nuty cytrusów. Czuć również bananowe detale w umiarkowanym nasileniu. W oddali masa przyprawowych fenoli. Świetny saisonowski charakter od początku do końca. Bardzo sugestywna baza słodowa. Nuty drożdżowe, owocowe (limonka, banan), przyprawowe fenole. Goryczka średnia z zdecydowanym charakterystycznym dla stylu pikantnym finieszem. Umiarkowane ciało i trochę zbyt wysokoe nagazowanie.

Pours a light yellow color with a farmhouse and floral aroma. Taste is crisp and dry. With a citrus, lime flavor this beer was enjoyable just not complex. A good beer for a hot weather day.

Bottle pours a cloudy pale yellow. A tin skin and sturdy ring. Mostly yeasty saison aroma with a little funk and fresh hop touch. Light soft malt flavors with more classic farm house yeast notes. A nice citrusy flavor and a clean quick finish.

Bue fraîchement brassée. Pas incroyable, pas complexe du tout, peu de corps, mais super buvable. Légèrement citronnée, houblonnage très très fin, un fond hyper floral. La bière désaltérante par excellence.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 15415, meaning it was bottled on 3rd June 2015. It was poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a clear golden colour with a two finger puffy white head with good retention and decent stringy lacing. Strong aromas of tropical mango, followed by some tangy citrus lemon, fresh orange juice, coriander, honeydew, cantaloupe. Tastes of lemon, lime, orange, light barnyard, white pepper spice and slight grass hop finish. Crisp, medium bodied with mid to high carbonation. Overall there was less barnyard funk than I expected, but the light sourness, crispness and strong fruitiness made it very easy and nice to drink.

Prairie Standard has a medium, off-white head, a cloudy, yellow-gold appearance, with tight bubble streams. The beer becomes sort of white-yellow, once the bottom sediment is swished and poured in. Lacing is fairly substantial. The aroma is on the low-profile side, but the drinker can detect subtle horse blanket, lemon pith, white bread, and coriander. Taste is the same- low profile, but the same elements of the aroma are noticeable. A little white pepper and mild hop aroma show up, too. Mouthfeel is high medium, Prairie Standard finishes on the dry side of the equation. RJT

Bottle from Beer Cartel 080316. This beer is anything but standard. While it looks hazy and murky in the glass the is a golden glowing sunshine colour that impresses. Light flavoured but quite fruity. Nice.
