3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at brewpub in Ashland. Poured a very attractive orange color with a nice fat white head that left good lacing. Big strong nose of floral hops. Mouthfeel clean and flavor of sweet malts with more hops carrying both flowers and citrus. Alcohol not hidden, but not objectionable either. Finish nicely bitter. In my opinion easily the best offering from the brewer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale golden pour. Bright lemon and grapefruit hoppiness with a lot of resinous bitterness. Clean and hop-forward. Very tropical flavour. It doesn’t drink like an IIPA - which could be dangerous. The standout of the lineup - by far. A little bit of soft dry-hopped resinousness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Poured a light apricot orange color with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap and some lacing
S: Some light caramel, maybe a light biscuit with citrus and lighter oine notes, perhaps some honey
T: Immediate citrus and honey blend with a very minute caramel which transitions to some light pine needles onto a nice tropical fruit finish with a slight bitterness and booze feel
M: Light bodied but still balanced. Very tasty and so easy to drink.
O: Well done.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
a genuine IPA, without too much bitterness. At the Brewpub in Ashland they tend to serve it too cold....

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery. Fairly clear copper pour. Not much to the nose, faint wet malts, mild dry hop note. Starts more like a pale on the palate, and pop with a nice bittered hop note towards the end. Overall a bit thin for a DIPA but the hops definitely come out in the finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
1 Liter Growler. Pours a nice clear lovely gold, very minimal head retention and lacing. Very fine hop aroma that dominates but without agression, slight malt sweetness. Very sweet and hoppy ale flavor, but they balance out very well, almost even. Slightly slick texture, medium-low carbonation, medium body.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
initial taste puts it close to the IPA but then it has a hop kick at the end. would be very nice on a hot day.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask from Organic Brewers Fest... Poured amberish-orange with a bubbly, off-white head. Floral hops on the nose with a buttery, caramel malt presence. Flavors similar to the aroma. Smooth, soft palate with a wonderful, bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery. Double IPAs seem to be harder to find these days with hop prices skyrocketing, so I was surprised to find this on tap. Lighter amber body with a soft foamy white head. Floral citrus hop nose, sweet orange candy character to it. A bit more subdued double ipa, not overwhelming, which I enjoyed, sessionable and big flavored. This could probably be some breweries regular IPA, but a nice beer overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had a little more respect for this one, as it had the most taste and kick of any of the SS brews. It was rather piney with a smooth, tasty palate. When I go back to Ashland, this is the beer I’ll drink at the SS. BTW, the food is excellent!
