| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2004 Malty aroma with hints of banana and chocolate. Muddy dark brown color with a creamy head. Wheat and malt flavors a hint of banana and some cocoa. A very slight sour wheat twinge in the finish. Not a bad interpretation of the style. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 6, 2004 On tap at the Sasquatch brew festival in Eugene, OR. I’m a big fan of a lot of the German brews, but this brew felt like they were throwing darts blindfolded. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small short-lasting white head. Aroma was slightly wheaty and malty, but no hints of spice. Taste was where this beer really fell apart, very thin and watery tasting, no spice, ended slightly bitter, but overall just kinda boring.
