2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap @ Tap & Barrel - Olympic Village. Clear golden pour with a small white head. Really grassy and a bit grainy on the nose. Some straw. A bit on the sweet side. Maybe some apple. Flavor is just kind of sweet and grainy. Fair amount of malt and grass. Minimal bitterness. A little straw and apple esters. Nothing terribly offensive, just not very good.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle into a Duvel Tulip. Pours the expected pale gold with minimal fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is that familiar skunky kind of hops that I kind of like to see in a pilsner. Flavour has some decent bitterness backed by malty sweetness. Honestly, it is a bit too sweet and the aftertaste comes on like wet cardboard. I like the brewery, but they need to work on tis one a bit.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A thin golden bodies beer. Grassy and bland malt. Reminds me of something from Great Western in Saskatchewan.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Straw. Grassy aroma with a strong pale malt signature. Clean pale malt body with a touch of grassy hop - nothing that screams noble - and very minimal bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A clean-tasting German Pilsner with a typical light golden colour and a white head, which dispersed very quickly. The version tested here (at Foggs n Suds) was on tap and served, in the local fashion, very cold. Pleasantly dry and not particularly hoppy. Good balance, but not very memorable. Washed the spicy Weeping Tiger beef dish down very nicely.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very watery straw beer. Typical of a pilsner. I wouldn’t ever choose to drink this but it came in a sampler.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light, pale straw. Definitely a pil aroma. Dried grass, hay. Easy drinking with nice crisp bite. Little thin.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I’m more of an ipa fan so my opinion might be biased. I enjoyed this pilsner. Reminded me of my younger age when the cheapest lager at the store was our choice. But in a good way.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bit of a disappointment. Light malt flavors, hardly detectable hops, very watery over the palate. Nothing offensive about it, the taste isn’t horrible, it’s just a very thin, flavorless beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle sampled @ Edmonton Craft Beerfest. Medium yellow, sweet grainy aroma and flavour, lightly yeasty, metallic note in the finish.
