Draught as Stari Iv Voros @ Eleszto, Budapest. Pours reddish brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some sourness, buttery notes. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, light wood, light sour, just a slight hint of butter. Medium body, average carbonation. 290315

Nice color, nice medium body, nice bitterness. Caramel, hay, sunflower seed, and not sure if some date or fig. Good composition. Don’t skip if available.

Draft. Clear, red-brown colour, large long-life beige head, roasted aroma, light little bit watery body, smooth fizziness, caramel taste, palate with aroma of hops. Good stuff.

01/08 As Stari Ír Vörös, on tap @Eleszto, Budapest. Now said to be at 6% ABV. It poured clear copper body with small head. Very pleasant and aromatic on the nose, fruity, some dried fruits, orange hops and some toasted malt. Flavor was pleasant as well although a bit watery. Biscuit malts were nicely combined with caramel and some red fruits. Relatively thin in body with moderate, only a bit sweet and dusty biscuit finish. It’s been a while since my last Irish ale, but this is a good one anyway.

reddish-brown colour, not too much off-white head; aroma of sweet fruits and roasted malt; taste of roasted malt, fresh hoppy bitterness and fruity notes; for me it’s better than Murphy’s and Kilkenny; really great irish ale (it would be perfect if it had a bit more body)

On tap. Dark orange body, beige head. Caramel, orange zest in the aroma with some roastyness. Flavor is like the aroma. Lots of orange zest and caramel and a minimal roasryness. Floral hop bitterness in the finish. Somewhat watery mouthfeel. An OK session beer.

The head is ok, the color dark red. It smells barley-hay. The taste is sour-barley, bitter. The sour-barley taste is to intensive. I don´t like this one. 11/4/4/4/-/4
