COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here is the beer for gourmets, buffs, and lovers of beer whose tastes do not change. It has a typically rich malt tone and a spicy palette.

taunusmies (331) - FINLAND - DEC 20, 2006
Pours dark brown with a generous off-white head. Nice malty taste with a hint of metal at the first sip. Aftertaste is nicely roasted. Palate could be a bit more thick. Now it’s slightly too thin and watery.

Tranquillity (1387) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 23, 2006
Bottled in Stone Bay Inn, Kivenlahti, Espoo, Finland. Quite red, dark colour. Tight foam, but not very much of itl. Smells a bit home-made with its yeast. Cosy aroma! Unfortunately the taste has well too much yeast in it, and not much else.

Quinten (1037) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 4, 2006
Dark brown color, medium head, some good bits, but you can taste that its not the brew who make’s the aroma,..its the ingredients,..without it it would be very thin.

gnoff (7415) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2006
Draught at restaurant and pizzeria "Arena" in Prague. Very beautiful deep ruby red color, big lasting creamy beige-brown head. Clear roasted malt scent. Chocolate and burnt taste. Acid taste and mouthfeel from the dark malts. Long burnt aftertaste.

Bottled. Dark ruby colour with white big head. Eye, malt, caramel and a bit hay in aroma. Caramel, roasted malt, soft flavour. Breadish aftertaste. Nice dunkel.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 6, 2005
Dark brown color, little brown head. Coffee, brown sugar, sweet aroma. Thin to medium body. Nice medium carbonation. Brown sugar, roasted flavor, mild chocolate with mildly hopped ending. Sweetness lasts in aftertaste.

Gazza (726) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2005
Draught in a bar, Šumperk. This was a few years back, but I remember it being thick, caramelly, and very smooth with a relaxing finish which made me want to drink more of it. Not a superb beer, but a beer to drink and enjoy - if you like sweet dark beers!

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 10/20
MoritzF (8250) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 15, 2005
(bottle) dark brown colour with medium sticky frothy tanned head. Aroma of candy with toasted malt. A roasted malty taste is embedded in a light to medium body with a dry & bitter smoky finish. The carbonation could be a little bit more softer.

2.5
   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 9/20
pivnizub (8574) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 11, 2005
Bottle: dark brown with a yellowish fluffy foamy layer; sweetish caramel nose with a tinge of roasted malts; the initial sweetish malty taste becomes dry and also a little bit bitter in the finish; the quite thin body can’t be covered up by the dark colour and the malts; all in all a bit watery and disappointing.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 11/20
sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 23, 2005
(Bottled) Very dark, deep red color with a large, lacy, big-bubbled, beige head. Dark-bready, syrupy and roasted-malty aroma with a hint of metal. The strong initial malty roastiness slowly fades away, but there’s no finish or aftertaste to speak of. Quite carbonated, medium-bodied and slightly thin palate. A dryish, very roasty, mild and straightforward dunkel.
