Rich brown color with tan head. Had on tap and in the bottle in Brno. Simple in flavoring but smooth, what a sweet dark beer should be.

this is a nice red colored beer, but as it is a little flat in flavor, you’d like to have another beer after you had one....

ogivlado (4987) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 21, 2004
Sampled draught in Luciano’s, Sofia, Bulgaria, -slight coffee note with some malt, this beer would be better if there is higher alcohol content

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - AUG 25, 2004
Dark ruby red colour. Fizzy, bubbly, off-white head.Malty-sweet nose. Malty, sweet taste. A bit thin and bland. Nothing compared to its Krusovice counterpart.

TBone (9999) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 2, 2004
Bottled (BB 01/2005)
Dark ruby-brown, decent tanned head. Roasted coffee beans in the nose. Watery, crisp mouthfeel. Some roasted and chocolaty tones and late bitterness. Not bad but needs more ABV, a bit too light.

Oakes (10936) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JUL 22, 2004
Ruby-brown colour. Slight coffee note, with some malt. Fairly watery with some toasty/coffeeish accents. Creamy body. For it’s strength, it’s not that bad but it doesn’t compare with other examples of the style.

Geiserich (2559) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUN 20, 2004
Big fluffy light brown head, brown color. Toffee and roasted malt aroma. Good drinkable, in the middle comes some fruity sweetness, followed by an bitter, roasty aftertaste. I drank it thirsty and enjoyed it.
