2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Strikingly decent for a cheap bohemian pilsner in a green bottle. To say that i had my doubts was an understatement, but it came through. The aroma is weak in sense, fairly malty, with some hop and stale hop substance, and a wet grassy mossiness to it. It pours very carbonated and clear..little alcohol presence, and a tiny white soapy head which disappeared almost as quickly as it came. The flavor is the shocker...there isnt too much to it aside from the malty bite in the aftertaste...a nice malty dryness..but the real kicker is how smooth and clean the bite is...served fairly cold with heavy carbonation leaves a nice crisp hoppy bite with malt backbone. Dry ending...decent beer...one of the better bohemian pilsner's ive had.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A typical, fresh czech lager. A great, frothy head and a hint of yeast in the aroma.
A growing bitterness in the flavour. Nice!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2003 So...this beer has a malty, kind of cereal aroma but is surprisingly weak in the taste, it does not really taste much. Still, for the man of quantity it might be a good choice

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light gold with a soap-sudzy head that disintegrated into soapy lacing. Malts may be on the thinner side, but are bready and appley sweet. Very nice hop/dirt finish. refreshing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice thick head, golden straw color, very Czechish malt, not strong hop aroma. It should be greater on tap.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright golden color. Head is initally thick and rocky but diminishes to the standard ring-around-the-glass. A very small amount of bubbles can be seen rising from the bottom of the glass. Despite the low carbonation, mouthfeel is full and round (for a light pils, anyway). Hops and a slight apple note in the nose. Light front. Spicy hops become more appearant as the beer progresses. I can detect some slight metallic notes if I look for them though I choose not to as I like to enjoy my beer. Nearly perfect hoppy, bitter finish with the slightest hint of citrus.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A perfect partner to the centraleuropean kitchen, sausages, heavy potato-dishes and cabbages. This smooth bitterness combined with a breadtasting finish.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Big long lasting head, less bitterness than I expect from a czech beer. It feels like lopw alcohol, low malt, low aroma, low everything...

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Copper colored with a white, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of honey, with some bready malt and a hint of grassy hops. Flavor is slightly sweet, with bready malts underlying a somewhat metallic tinge. A hint of hop bitterness lingers on the palate.
