Crisp, average Czech pilsener. Tastes much like the other ones I've had.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2005 This brew poured a medium sized white head of mostly lasting bubbles the left a softly carbonated transparent urine yellow orange colored body behind. I could discern no aroma from this brew. It had a smooth mouth feel that was mildy bubbly. Its flavor was thin and lightly hopped.

i've got one thing to say about this beer: five bucks a sixpack. a lifetime of smart economizing like that and i'll be able to afford the down payment on a keg of traquair for my retirement party. okay, i lied: i have more than one thing to say about this beer: it's also a very agreeable looking sunflower yellow, with little clouds of clean suds that appear with every pour and promptly vanish over that radiance of warm color. dry timothy grass and fresh cucumber go easy on the nose. flavor demonstrates a clean, well-tuned lager that assumes you're thirsty and travels the shortest distance to quenching you, seizing the tongue with athletic carbonation and with just a modest package of dry biscuit malts and a tweak of bitterness. actually the most conspicuous thing about this beer is it's name, which is clearly missing a vowel, it shows how well THEY economize. great? nah. five bucks a six pack? bring it on.

Bottle. Very clean, non-offending beer. Mild, but with a little malty sweetness at the end

Golden colour, genrous head. Hoppy and herbal aroma. This beer has a good malty flavour, followed by an hoppy, refreshing finish. Another good Bohemian Pilsener.

Bottle. Nice pour, golden amber color with a large white head. Malty aroma, with cabbage (?) and light citrus hops. Definite lager flavors but slightly skunky with a strong metallic finish. Nice mouthfeel - light with almost creamy carbonation.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2007 Original comment: (500 ml brown bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Norway). Typical pilsener golden colour, large frothy head. Lovely Saaz aroma, the flavour has sufficient malts to balance the irresistibly crisp hoppy bitterness. This is another evidence that pilseners / lagers from big breweries do NOT have to taste like ...nothing. A great refreshment beer from our friends in Brno! New comment July 2007 (I’m keeping the old rating numbers), 330 ml green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. The ABV in Norway has now been watered down to 4.7%, to allow the beer to be sold in our grocery stores. Distributed in Norway by Hansa-Borg Bryggerier. Golden colour, large head. NIce Saaz/Zatec aroma with flowery, grassy and also some "skunky" notes, hints of honey. The flavour has decent pilsener malts and a moderate Saaz/Zatec bitterness. Okay, but they should have kept the brown bottles and 5% ABV!

clear dark golden with many a CO2 shinanagan...white head..cereal aromas..clean taste but with cereal aftertastes..tad hoppy floral notes creeping here and there..nonoffensive.
