Poured golden clear with a thich white head that receded rather quickly leaving a lace around the rim. Strong spicy aroma of hops. the flavor was crisp and clean leaving a pleasant aftertaste.

Pretty lager, golden and clear with a big ol' head, just like the picture. Flowery aroma. Silky smooth. A mouthfull of flavors, hearty malt and astringent bitterness all well balanced. I'm sure the importation alters this, but it still comes out well.

Test vom 2.6.2011, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 13,12,13,13,-,13 - 12,84

Ok i bought a sixer of this at Trader Joes for only $4.49..was not expecting much. Comes ina 12 oz euro style brown( thank goodness) bottle. Pours a nice semi-dark golden colour with a monstrous frothy white head that threatens to overwhelm my glass..but quickly subsides..leaves a descent lacing. Smell is of spicy hops as I would expect froma Czech lager..very fresh. MM a simply lovelly taste, creamy in front then the zingy hops take over..nice very, "thick"..I like a lager thats not too thin and this is good. Great on the palate thick and creamy yet exhilarating hops..great stuff. Very drinkable indeed this hot June night!. I recommend this lager highly ..if you in Trader Joes grab a six pack or two its a great deal.

From the 500ml bottle. Pours with a nice, thick head and dark golden. Bready aroma. Light bready, hoppy taste that’s spot-on perfect. Clean finish, no aftertaste. One of my favourites.

A very good and underrated Czech pils. It is clean and crisp with a medium body.It is supremely drinkable.

A very good pilsner, nice surprise. Complex hoppy nose shows herbal and peppery spice notes. Hop spice also comes thorugh in a spritzy appetizing palate along with just the right amount of malt sweetness. Not Urquell but not far behind.

Full gold vergeing on amber, nice fluffy head, with clean saaz aroma. Possibly a little munich malt in this, or maybe I'm just picking up on the caramelization from decoction mashing or a vigorous boil- either way, a little more dark sweetness than other czech lagers. Good bitterness too, nice fresh bottle and just plain nice!

This is a good Czech/Bohemian pilsner, well-rounded, clean, tasty, and drinkable, but it doesn’t compare to many I have had. Light amber, it has a very big, faintly off-white head that slowly shrinks to a thin top and a hint of lace. The aroma is a nice pilsner smell - toasty grain, bread, hay, honey, hints of pine and herbs. The atset ios herbal with honey, grain, hay, a nice balance and an herbal, lightly bitter, finish with hay, grass, and a hint of grain. However, it’s a little thinner, more subdued, and not as tasty or interesting as many other Czech pilsner-types.
