A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

Copenhagen 8/7 2016. 33 cl bottle from Fřtex. A drawing of good old Prague on the label in order to convey that you are holding a real Czech beer and a red ribbon declaring that this is "Number 1 Beer in the World". Modesty seems to be a Czech virtue. Pours clear very dark brown with off-white head. Settles as creamy layer of clinging foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is a bit pilsner-like. A little brown sugar and wood in addition to the sweet malts. Medium carbonaton and watery palate. Taste is sweet with only very ubdued bitterness. Some nuts and wood in the aftertaste. I would not call it "The Number One Beer in the world" but a quite pleasant very light Dunkel.

En mřrk udgave af den berřmte řl. Nok ikke deres bedste. Den smager af for lidt, Let syrlig, nćsten ingen humle. En řl der lćsker, hvis man vil ha’ en der er lidt mřrkere end end en pilsner.

Nutty toasted chocolate-like and caramel-like malty sweetness in aroma and flavor. It is a good dark beer. Nagyon jó csokis-karamellás barna sör. Ár-érték arányban az egyik legjobb.

Draught at café. Big, dimpled mug. Slightly hazy amber colour with a fluffy off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits, toasted notes, butter and bread. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry and fruity with toasted notes, caramel malts and butter. Nice, straightforward Tmavý.
