COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

On tap at the Visitor Centre bar of the brewery on 3rd Oct 2014. Clear dark brown with a deep red hue, beige head, the bulbous glass showing off the beer nicely. The aroma was of sweet malts, with bread and caramel type hints. The taste was malty sweet with only a mild bitterness. Medium body, but not as exciting as some beers within this style have been.

330ml green bottle, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is clear dark mahogany with a medium-small tan head, that reduced quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and notes of minerals. Flavours of lightly roasted malts, caramel and a hint of chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light-medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, slightly thin texture and average carbonation. Overall an okay beer, I would have liked it a bit fuller bodied.
