COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

0.33 bottle. Clear, brown color and a small, tanned head. Strong aroma of dark malts, sour dough, and delicate sugarcane. Taste is somewhat sweet, again dark malts, hints of cocoa. Light to medium body, subtly creamy texture, and average carbonation. Finish is delicate, doughy, not very long. Overall a mediocre beer.

Bottle from a Russian restaurant that oddly serves Staropramen. though it was listed under "Staropramen Dark" Aroma: Light dark malts, a little sweetness and bitterness detected Appearance: Dark with a little red Taste: A little bit of smoke with some sweetness and bitterness Palate: Refreshing, easy to drink, some bitterness, light. Not super good but for the APV, there is much worse to choose.

Dark brown colour with light brown head. Aroma of roasted barley, malts, hops, with medium carbonation and bitterness. Somehow watery finish. Too low abv. for me.

I am rating the export "version" for hungarian market, only difference is the back laber is in HU and DE languages. Sorry guys, I’m a novice, can’t tast nuts and other aromas, just simply the roasted malt and hop. A little bit too light, the aromas are not so intense.

Not as fresh and full-bodied as people say it is, I think. Drinkable but not that great.

0.33l bottle. Looks nice this with a clear deep dark almost ruby colored body under a big off-white lacing and lasting head. On the nose it’s dark caramel sweet, slightly roasted with nuts, dark candied sugars, molasses and pie crust. Smells nice. Tastes nice also. It’s both nutty and dark malty. Slightly toasted and quite nice and pleasant in the taste. Light silky oily in the mouth and it’s just below average on the carbonation. Mild dark burned sugar with some hints of lactose. Yeah, it’s actually quite a nice little surprise this. Did not expect to enjoy it as much as I’m actually doing. 19.04.2014
