Braník is a typical Czech beer with a very refreshing taste, a natural "bite" and pure hopsy aroma. Braník Brewery was founded by a group of brewmasters from small historical breweries in 1899 under the name "Corporate Brewery of Prague Brewmasters".

Can. Pours a light golden body with a large creamy head. Nose is mild pale malts, biscuits, grains, bread crumbs and hints of dry grass. Taste is metallic pale malts, dry grass and hints of maize. Light body, medium to fizzy carbonation. Meh.

Can from a Prague avond winkel. Poured a crystal clear light straw colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery malt hop light bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty nondescript and pretty awful. The Czech Republic has a reputation for brewing some great beers and i’m still rather astounded that finding total crap here is still relatively easy. I think those "historical brewers" would be turning in their graves if they had to drink this stuff!

From can. Clear pale body with medium head. Aroma is light bread, dull earthy. Taste is just watery, light grassy bitterness, metalic after taste. Palate is almost none. Body is watery, medium carbonation. One of the worse eurobeers.

Dobré pivko, příjemná chuť, malinko sladší, v rámci českých standardů má více alkoholu než ostatní desítky.

I had bottle of 2 litres and it was a bit out of date, so the taste was a bit flattened. Not bad still.

Pale golden color, short lasting white head, yeast aroma. Rather sweet than bitter beer. OK for everydays.

Yellow golden color, weak carbonation with white head. At the beggining beer is somewhat sweetish, at the end you can feel some rusty and citrus freshness. Nice balance between sweet and bitter taste.

50cl bottle at my B&B. Bottle is totally clear, doubtful there’d be any head. Nose is skunky, grass, stale malt, stale bread, dried lemon. Flavor is slightly better, malt, metal, lemon, honey, soggy white bread. Light, merciful finish.
