COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma

Bottle 0,5l. Low grassy hop aroma. Amber color, moderately carbonated. Flavor of both- pilsner and caramel- malts is present, bitterness at low level. Balance is slightly towards sweetness. Bitter, but unpleasant aftertaste. Just commercial czech beer, acceptable, nothing more.

Bottle 0,5l. Interesting beer on half way between Czech pilsener and dunkel. Aroma is only low – barley malt and caramelized malt. In taste sweet malt, medium bitter in aftertaste. If is using real hop, it should be very good beer, but with extract (sort of bitterness) it’s only average one.

50 cl bottle. Copper/amber color, big rocky white head, lasting, quiet nose. Aroma caramel malts and somewhat similar to a bitter, cookiesm, some faint fuity esters, bread, leafy hops. Alcohol sensible already. Sweetish taste, soft carbonation, Medium bodied, sticky. Nice polotmavy.

Sampled at the End of History tasting. Aroma is iron, autumnal leaves, and malt. Pours light red with bubbles and light lacing. Taste is burnt bread crust and malt. Mouthfeel is bitter and light. Unpleasant and a poor substitute for a bohemian pils.

Bottle 33cl, traded with Nisse666 thanks for this new style for me ! A clear copper amber beer with medium head. Nose is on grain and brown bread, touch of sweet caramel. Aroma is on toasted caramel, grassy hops and relative bitterness, nutty, metallic notes at the finish, long floral bitterness on aftertaste with blond caramel.
