COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma

At a tasting, thanks Oren, pours yellow to bronze with a quickly diminishing head, aroma of malt, wheat some yeast and malty sourness, flavor of mushrooms, bread and some malt, quite bitter, medium to light bodied, OK

Bottle. Light clear bronze body, small white head. Nose is raisins, sawdust, dusty hops and pale malts. Taste is smooth caramel malty tones, sawdust and hints of dry hops. A bit thin, a bit strange but still kind of nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Tom. Clear amber color. Aroma of malt, some toasted bread notes, light caramel hints and a bit of hops. Sweetish malty flavor with a drier hoppy finish with light grassy notes. Medium-bodied. OK.

Draught: Reddish orange beer with a nice white foamy head. Light caramel flavor with flowery and grassy notes. The flavor is flowery and slightly toasted with a medium malt sweetness and medium bitterness in the mouth. Fine evident hop profile, quite edgy for the style. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation. Dry bitter finish - I much prefer this to the the Staropramen Pilsener.

Bottle. Clear brownish amber with a decent creme coloured head that lasts a bit longer if you pour it hard. Aroma is a bit weak and damp with sweet notes of caramel, orange peel, potatoe crisps (!!!) and grassy earthy hops. Taste i a bit sweet with caramel, oranges and a fair grassy bitterness inte aftertaste that lingers a bit. Too bad also with a bit of metal. Body is medium to a bit light with soft carbonation. I used to drink it on tap alot and liking it. On bottle it looses its touch.
