Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma

golden, red, clear but darkish enough. ’Garnet’ says it all. Much more complex than the Staropramen Lager.... from the moment you pop the cap off this is evident. Highly drinkable but at the same time can sit back and enjoy its roasty, semi clove, light carmel, with just enough hoppy aftertaste bits to where u say wow! interesting beer. Head dissipates quickly after 2 minutes... which is understandable for its use. It is not over carbonated by any means. nice balance.

Bottle. Light clear bronze body, small white head. Nose is raisins, sawdust, dusty hops and pale malts. Taste is smooth caramel malty tones, sawdust and hints of dry hops. A bit thin, a bit strange but still kind of nice.
