COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma

Golden, small head. Perfume aroma with nuts and sweet fruits. Flavor brings perfume, floral notes, nuts, and with a bitter finish. Quite a nice beer...

Bottle green, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours deep, essential, clear, very transparent, strong tea of good quality like body colour, very interesting and nice with visually lively carbonation and initially medium head, very slowly decreasing to small, but not to minimal, frothy, off - white with decent and very nice lacing, the body actually is very deep and focused, essential amber in colour reminding clean and good quality English Bitter/ESB, really - nice firm head, some orange hue is prasent.
Aroma: Very mild, milky, covered with frothy and dense head that is small in size, but in fact very firm, slightly aromatic flowery hops being Zatec like, when it comes to malts it is very interesting and unusual experience for me as I’ve had only 1 or 2 Vienna Lagers before and really I have no great experience in assessing that unusual for me type of malt used in the beer. It’s very mild and something like being in between Pilzen malt and Munich malt, neither too Pilzen like nor to Munich like, so all in all not that pronounced, hiding somewhere at the background. A bit juicy with young cherry accent.
Flavour: Very nice and strong essential, refreshing citrusy bitterness attacking your tongue and binding it and hoppy aroma lifting your nose trills, flowery and floral hops are playing the great role here while the malty base is hidden at the background being kind of burned cherry seeds like. Some saltyness on palate from very well adjusted effervescence. Wonderfull and really unexpected flavour.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is dry (like in IPA or Bitter), carbonation on palate is very lively in deed and finish feel is essentially bitter, citrusy, grapefruity, unforgetable, fresh and clean. Great job of Staropramen Breweries once again.

Clear red / ruby colour with low head and medium body. Nose of nuts. Taste of low malt, ripe grains, brown butter, mild fruits, toffee, caramel and nuts. Very easy and nice to drink, really refreshing as well. Needs temperature.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2014 Sweet malty nose, hint of burnt caramel, bread, raisin, roasty, clove, clear amber to copper, frothy, small white head, disappears quickly, reasonable lacing, medium sweet taste with caramel, hint of fruits, light bitterness, medium body, in the finish stout-like toasted malts backed up by fresh hoppy bitterness

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy but rather stable off-white head. clear aroma of malt, caramel and hops, with touches of yeast. Sweetish, estery and malty flavour with notes of caramel and bitter, hoppy touches to offset them. Bitter and rough aftertaste. An okay Polotmavý.

Light amber color. Not much aroma. Taste of pomegranate. A little watery ending. A thirst-quencher, thin and watery but still fine taste.

Draught: Dark golden beer with a fluffy head that disappears with some nice lacing. Weak malt and fruit aroma. Some malt sweetness immediately, but heavily hopped bitter flavour making it very refreshing.
