31/10 A 0.5 l bottle Doggythedog brought from Prague, thanks for sharing this just retired beer! Well, it poured dark brown, almost black body with medium sized brown cascading head. Weak coffee aroma, dry. Quite good coffee malt profile in the flavor, but rather typical for any dry stout, watery, ironically, as every "dry stout" is. Shorter, coffee dry finish with maybe some notes of herbal hops here, but killed with overwhelming coffee. Not my style, but Murphy’s was better as I recall, no matter it beats typical Guinness.

Found what are possibly some of the last bottles in existence in a liquor store in Prague’s center, not far from U Medvidku. Shared with heavy
Black (extremely dark red really) body. Small beige thick head. Dry malty nose, grainy roasty maltiness, very light dried figs. Light yoghurty malty taste, relatively smooth. A bit understated but noticable and slightly persistant hoppy, herbal bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable and beats pretty much all Irish dry stouts. Completely atypical for a Czech beerStaropramen, you suck for retiring this. I do hope they return this now that they’re rid of InBev but fat chance of that happening.

bottle, should I say, many bottles at famous metal bar Hells Bells in Prague. Pours dark brown, thick beige head. Taste, toasted malts, mocha, light malts, chocolate palate almost like milk chocolate, caramel finish, toffee/buttery mouthfeel. An easy fantastic drink, drinks like a charm.

(tap at Hells Bells (usually) in Praha) A pitch black beer with thick (nitro-oxide) roasted foam. The aroma is quite light, just a bit roasted. It has a nicely roasted taste with some sweetness and a not too bitter aftertaste. The palate is quite fitting, its very easily drinkable in large amounts.

Got a light roasty coffee aroma, and that ’import’ kind of aroma as well. Perhaps a touch of salt. DArk brown pour with a thin head. The flavor is light and roasty with a soft sweetness. A dry finish, light bitterness. Whatever.
