Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2004 (12 oz bottle) "The Star of Prague" is not all that good a beer, and thus grossly overpriced at well over $8 a six-pack; It's lightly malty and smoky, mildly bitter, but fairly sweet, and not in a good way; The sweetness just has this "cheap, poor quality" character to it, and results in a somewhat cloying palate in the finish; It's mildly bitter, but not very hoppy at all; The floral finish just comes out of the blue and seems out of place; Sweet, lightly smoky and malty nose; Light golden color; White head is somewhat small on the pour and soon fades to a very thin layer; Not one of the better Bohemian pilseners, and not something I'd buy again, but unfortunately, since BevMo has this stupid no single bottles rule, I still have five more Staropramens to drink. Sigh...

Pours a golden color with plenty of fine CO2 and a fluffy white head and sticky lace. Decent head retention. Aroma is skunky and hoppy. Flavor is smooth and lightly sweet with a slightly biting finish. Mouthfeel is light and effervescent with a lingering hop finish. A decent beer for this style.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2005 Pleasant surprise. Nice looking light golden pilsener with a fair, fresh aroma. Good pilsener taste that receded into quite a bitter aftertaste. Not bad, just unexpected. Overall, a really good pilsener that is better than most of the popular ones out there - wonderful on a hot day.

Pale gold crystal clear eensy weensy bubbles, decent head. Hops and malt balance nicely with a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Almost perfect for a Helles Boehmishes Bier

(On tap) Hoppy, slightly floral aroma. Clear, golden coloured with a thin white head. Floral, hoppy and bitter taste. Quite full bodied for a pilsener. Fresh brew.

(on tap) A nice golden brew witch can be provoked to a head if worked proberly.A<round, mild, mostly malty mouthfeal. Soft, low-bitter ending, tastes like a barleyfield, witch is pretty good for a macro lager.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2005 I thought this was a fantastic beer, I enjoyed it more than Pilsner Urkel. A little light on the head, although light and flavorful at the same time (must be the flowery aromas?).

grainy nose, starts off a little skunky. Pours a golden yellow, thin head, high carbonation. Some hops there in the finish. Lacks the malt presence of the higher quality bohemians. Not too bad though.

Medium sweet grain lager aroma, rubbery hops. Light skunkiness. Golden amber clear with thin foamy white lacing head. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Starts light grainy sweet, medium hoppiness. Carbonic acidity, bitter finish. Alcohol, corn. Bitter after.
