Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2004 Straight up pale yellow and there is nothing here that makes this stand out at all. It's like the only way to drink it is to slam it. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Why do some people insist on using green bottles for their beer. I always approach these beers with apprehension. Anyway, pours with a very light golden color and extreme effervescence that results in a foamy, undulating white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with a hint of malt and lager yeast. Feels refreshing on the palate and gives a clean, astringent mouthfeel. Slightly bitter hop flavors dominate the flavor profile and are met by a light alcohol flavor in the finish. Overall, this is a great Pilsner style beer.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2007 Very light, straw-colored lager with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is of a skunk’s ass with some mild citrus, floral, smoky and corny notes. The flavor is just an all out assault on the palate. It’s too bitter up front and lacks any real malt backbone. Hopped, but not well-hopped. Unpleasantly bitter. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, bitter finish. This wasn’t one of my most memorable drinking experiences. I almost feel violated.

light amber color with a thin white head; fairly typical "green bottle" aroma; the taste is mostly of hops with a medium bitter finish

Clear in color. Slightly hoppy with little hop flavor. Clean and crisp in flavor. Pretty good. I like it. Good beer for a day of football.

Pours clear with little head. Slight hop aroma, but not much more. Clean crisp pils flavor with a little hops and bitterness. Just not enough hops for my liking.

This one wasn't skunked (tried this on several occasions) so I'll have to assume that it was representative of the beer other than some possible freshness loss. Good golden color and a head that lacked a bit of retention. Good maltiness with the proper balaance of bitterness, but not quite as crisp and to the front as the flavor profile of a PU. A good Boh Pils just the same.

With a green bottle and yellowed looking label I was expecting the worst but actually things turned out pretty good. The color was dead on with Pilsner Urquell but the head and lacing were not as durable, and it had a pleasant malty spicy aroma. On the short side of medium bodied, smooth and malty with a citrus tang and a mild bready note that developed as it warmed some. The finish lingered and was dry but not at all bitter. This beer definitely had the "Czech" quality to it and was quite drinkable, but seemed a wee bit skinny for a pils.

Draught, at the Hogshead, Birmingham. Very, very fizzy. Warm blonde colour, with a big, white, frothy head. Unpleasant, sulphur aroma. Metal flavour, quite sweet. Refreshing, but suffers against the other, similar beers which I tried this evening.
