COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Good carbonation and crystal clear golden yellow in appearance. Nice Saaz hopiness. I've had this in the Czech and now in the US, and it is a decent pils. At least it is cheap and as abundant as water in Prague.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2005 Bright clear gold, nice poofy head. Not much nose, but it’s not liked pilsners are known for their stunning redolence. Definitely noticeable hops. Flavor is crisp and clean, lots of sweeter malts, finished up with good hoppiness. Found a nice, soft creaminess in the palate. Good stuff.

A green bottle, lovingly stored under bright lights at my liquor store. Looks nice in a weizen glass, with a nice head and decent colour. Aroma is skunky, probably due to poor conditions of storing. The flavour was OK at start, but the metallic aftertaste turned me right away. Thought it was also watery in the finish. I did drink it all, but I can't say I really enjoyed it,e specially at the end.

Not a bad pilsner, more malty and less sharp than an Urquell. And at less than $1 per half liter in Prague, I can get sillier than a monkey parade down the Charles Bridge.

It is amazing how the method and place of delivery can impact upon the impression of a beer. Off the tap in the UK it is pretty ordinary, from the bottle in Prague it is OK but strangely even when presented in a plastic cup from a kiosk in Wenceslas square with a delightfully grilled white sausage and mustard on a roll it is sublime. Smooth, low hop bitterness but a perfectly soft adjunct to the spicy snack

The czech answer to an international standard lager. At a nice beerhouse in Prague it's brilliant, but I'm spoiled...

Very bland it had the same hoppy/flower taste Pilsner Urquell had, but it was much lighter. It goes good with light foods like chicken, where as Pilsner Urquell goes good with chicken as well as heartier meals.

So-so. I've had far better. That's all.

Yellow. Fair head, frothy. Slight herbal aroma. Initial flavor of apple, aftertaste none. Bitter ending. Not the best example of Czech beers.

Ah the green bottle. Luckly I got this one fresh from the box before it had a chance to lose it in the light. Hoppy aroma decent. Dark golden yellow with a large pale straw head. Not bad. Hoppy flavour with bitters that like to hang off your tounge. Dencent over all but nothing to stunning. I had the impression of pencil shavings when I let the beer warm up close to room temperature as I neared the end of the bottle.
