Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Barva, pěna, vůně a chuť vytváří unikátní senzorický profil tohoto spodně kvašeného ležáku uvařeného z 2 druhů sladů a 5 druhů chmele, včetně žateckého, který je srdcem tohoto piva. Znalec ocení typickou pivní vůni a chuť, které ve vzájemné harmonii dávají tomuto středně až silně prokvašenému ležáku příjemnou pitelnost, ležákovou plnost s osvěžujícím řízem a obsahem alkoholu 5%. 12 EBC.

Pours a clear pale gold with a small white head and has some thin lacing. Aroma is sweet yeast and malt followed by a flowery hoppiness. Buttery smooth malt initial flavor transcends into a crisp hop finish. Light and refreshing palate with a fizzy finish.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour with a thick white head and sticky lacing. Damn green bottle is quite skunky on the pour. After 10 minutes of swirling, this mostly fades. Underneath it is a rich, malty base, caramel and toffee notes. Faint hoppy notes with a light spicy character, but bitterness is quite faint.

Duften er typisk humlet. Gylden, med lille hoved. Smagen er humlet, og en anelse bitter. Rigtig dejlig blřd og behagelig humle. Bestemt ikke nogen dĺrlig pilsner.

I cannot believe that I haven’t rated this nice Czech pilsener ages ago. Perhaps this is the most pleasant of the "standard" Czechs with its nice Saaz hoppiness.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2006 Nice floral hopping on top of a light sweet malt, delivering a crisp, clean finish. I’d like to try this again with a guarantee of freshness. It would be nice if they dropped the green bottle.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2006 the 7th tasting in the 10 LCBO lackluster Slavic lagers. This one is the best of the lot... quite surprising actually. This Pilsner is fairly well characterized as a medium bodied bohemian lager in the pilsner style. Poured a pleasant rich gold, nice fluffy white cap that maintains, good lace, medium carbonation. Nice sweet biscuit malt and floral saaz hop notes in the Aroma. Medium carbonation...slick mouthfeel, good malt delivery in balance with "tinny" hop bite...finish is clean with tart drying from more hop pronouncement. A nice Bohemian lager

Gold in color, skunky in aroma, thin, tinny & watery while bitter not from hops but from something objectionable. Either a bad bottle or a very bad beer...Drain pour

Well, a bit hoppier than most lagers. Pours a clear gold, small white head. Aroma had definite hoppiness overwhelming the malt, as does the flavor, but there is a definite malty sweetness underneath the hop. Overall, it’s a decent beer, but not the best Bohemian pils I’ve come across by a long shot.
