Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Barva, pěna, vůně a chuť vytváří unikátní senzorický profil tohoto spodně kvašeného ležáku uvařeného z 2 druhů sladů a 5 druhů chmele, včetně žateckého, který je srdcem tohoto piva. Znalec ocení typickou pivní vůni a chuť, které ve vzájemné harmonii dávají tomuto středně až silně prokvašenému ležáku příjemnou pitelnost, ležákovou plnost s osvěžujícím řízem a obsahem alkoholu 5%. 12 EBC.

Some light hops scent, golden orange pour. Typical foamy lager head. Easy drinking with a bit much hops bite at the end. Some grainyness with an every slight spicy taste. This was bought for PintByPint at Smokeless Joe in Toronto when a man from the Czech republic asked the bar if anyone had had any Czech beer, Pint mentioned Staropramen. He had me drink it as he had already rated it.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2006 600ml on tap at Arlanda Airport. Clear golden colour with no head.Refreshing and thirst quenching. Light bodied. Sweet flavours of caramel. A bit too much carbonated, but a pretty good pilsner (01.03.2006).

Yep, skunky, vegetal aroma. Tangy metallic Saaz hop taste with grain hints- your typical Bohunk pilsner, not as good as Pilsner Urquell. 20 years ago Czech Pilsners were my favorite beers, ah but I was so much older then- I’m younger than that now.

From a 12 oz. long neck green bottle with a "Best Before End" date, 31/Aug/2006. Made a decent appearance, poured a clear orange hued golden with a small foamy white head that quickly reduced to a thin sticky lacing. Had a grassy hop aroma with a little funky yeastiness and whiffs of sweet alcohol. Good carbonation and a slick, crisp light medium bodied mouth feel, average drinkability. Taste at first had a mild gorse hoppy bitterness to it, followed by a slick sweet pale maltiness. Not bad, modest drinkability, could be quite quaffable if on sale at a bar, lends itself to mass consumption.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells peppery with the familiar underlying skunkiness that seems to dominate this type of beer. Tastes slightly bitter with some sweet maltiness.

Bottle. Clear golden colored beer with a moderate white head. Aroma is lightly toasted with some saaz hop notes in the background. Flavor is lightly sweet, some toasted notes and fading into some grassy bitterness. Light bodied. Nice.

Bottle, at home (040529). Light golden with a large white head. Aroma and flavor typical Czek pilsener, good hops with a long duration. Light to medium body, lively carbonated.
