Sweet flowery aromas with, of course, skunk. Very light malt flavors with some tasty Czech hop flavors and minimal bitterness. Thin bodied and fairly dry. Kind of a Urquell lite. I’m sure I could drink this easily, but it’s not worth the price when Urquell is better. hayduke (1693), Eureka, California, USA

I had been told Czech beer was supposed to be among the best in the world. This brew was everywhere, and seemed to be the MGD of the Czech Republic. Golden yellow with small white head with good lacing. Strong citrus nose with mild hops. Smooth drinking. Generally a mild pilsener with nothing remarknble at all. I sure expected more. I was expecting a full flavored, pils, or, perhaps, a toned-down pils for the American market. What I got was little more than an under-hopped lager. Indeed, my reaction to the mouth, the nose, the appearance, was uniformly "just a well made lager." // Just a lager ... maybe not even well made. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Bottled. Pours a pale amber color with lacy white head.
The aroma is lightly citrus.
Light body with medium carbonation.
The taste has some nutty, spicy notes with a piney finish. Tasty, but seems a bit light on the malt and hops for a Bomemian Pils. markas101 (597), Fargo, North Dakota, USA

Let me assure you, it is not. I struggle to find flavours other than a stuffy stale maltiness and a cloying sweetness that makes me want to go drink something else. slcbrewer (44), USA

A hint of Saaz aroma, and a reasonably dry finish.
