Nice yellow color, but lack of taste. This czech beer is far from perfect.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 25, 2010 Pours a clear golden yellow with a rapidly dissipating, small white head. Leaves very little lacing on the glass. Light, malty aroma and a somewhat thin mouthfeel. Very light, malty flavor that finishes crisp and dry.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2003 Malty(!) Pilsener of Bohemian style. The right choice for people who prefer a bohemian pilsner with less edges and less body. Nicely honeysweet aftertaste. No evident flaws.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2003 It"s ok. By no means good. Will not buy again. Skunky, green bottle odor, some bitterness saves this beer from total dullness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Initally Heinekin-like aroma upon opening but mellows out to a nice maltiness. Thin, mostly dissipating head. Very crisp flavor, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Appearance is nice clear and golden. Overall, not bad for a budget import - $5.95 a six.

Absolutely one of my favorites. This is one of the crispest, most refreshing beers out there in the style of Pilsner Urquell and Budvar. Nice hopiness. Thanks Czechezslovokia for all of the great beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma has malt and Sazer hops. Relatively full bodied. Hoppy, malty flavor with just a bit of orange fruitiness. Nice hoppy finish. Soft and clean palate. Fine pilsener in the best Czech tradition.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2004 Rerate: Tried it on tap. Definately better than the bottled version. Seems more fresh. Hops, sweet and fruit charateristics are dominant in aroma and flavour. Very pleasant bitterness in the end.
Original rate bottled version(3,1): Hop is recognizable in aroma as well as flavour. Good bitter after taste. This is by far not as good as Urquell, but still its an overavarage pilsener.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, golden with thin head and lace. Typical pils aroma of saaz, herbs, slight toast and others. Thinnish body, decent malt/fruity flavors, nice saaz bite but nothing to write home about. Average pils, average brew.
