3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0,5l bottle from random supermarket, Budapest. Deep golden color with medium frothy white head. Refreshing hoppy aroma with spices and herbs. Well hopped, as a good Bohemian Pilsner. Medium bitter taste. Light to medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Delicious hoppy, spicy finish. Strong and very delicious Pilsner.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 2B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch M0723. AROMA: grainy sweet aroma with faint floral hop notes. no esters. APPEARANCE: dark gold and translucent. thin white head with average retention. TASTE: faint sweet malt flavour with low bitterness. semi-sweet finish and absent hop flavours. PALATE: low body and low carbonation. OVERALL: a czech bohemian pilsner that lacks complexity on the malt and hop front and with thin body.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a clear golden colour with a thick fizzy head. Aroma of straw, grain, grass, little spiciness and slightly metallic. Taste of straw, grain, grassy and herbal hops plus a little honey. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A decent bitter finish. Not too bad but had better.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear gold color with a pretty decent head. I like Bohemian pilsners and I thought this was very drinkable but, not outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2008 Bottle (the cask in the UK is unreliable). Dark golden colour (some roasted malt in there?) with a thin white head. Crisp malty aroma. Initially sweet, there’s a decent hoppiness to balance the malt and a dry finish. Nice and light on the palate. Loses a couple of points on taste as it should have a little more bitterness. Fine beer, but there are better Czech pilsners out there.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Tried in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. Small white head. Clear golden color. Nice flower taste. Really nice overall !! I’m suprised because I really don’t like Pilsner usually (because of a lack of taste). This is the best Pilsner I’ve had so far !!

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Kind of a basic Czech Pilsner, which is not nessesarily a bad thing. This is alot like Pilsner Urquell not surprisingly.Very carbonated, and a clean dry taste. Not quite as dark as PU and also a tiny bit sweeter. I dont like the 11.2 oz bottles though, i feel like i am losing a half a beer in a sixer.

straw yellow with a light white head and little lacing. the green bottle wasn’t very forgiving. lightstruck, and some acetaldehyde. slightly more viscous than the average lager. easily forgettable.
