Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

660Ml Bottle. Particularly good or bad beers are easy to review - mediocre corporate mass market ones are much harder - and this one, despite being Czech (now via Canada) is one of those beers. Arome is as one would expect of a lager, maybe a few citrus and apple notes in there as well but theyre faint. It pours a thick foamy white head that last but eventually gives way to a tight laced head over a golden wheat coloured body. It tastes ... well theres no other way of putting it - like a standard lager. No character but nothing wrong with it either. If you want a reasonable inexpensive lager- this aint bad but it aint good either.

Deep gold, white head. Aromas of fermented malts and czech hops. Taste is sweet, a bit bready, with a good balancing bitterness. Mouthfeel crisp and smooth, a bit astringent on the bite. Pretty good; like Pilsener Urquell’s little brother - similar, a bit smoother, but with less bready flavor and floral aroma.

Can, almost a year old, well after the best before date on the can. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a very thin white head, hardly lasts at all. Nose is almost nothing. If anything, the faintest hint of some hops. Flavor is decently bitter, but not remarkable. Maybe a little skunky? But that’s a little unexpected from a can. The taste is very crisp and clean, which is appropriate for the style. Mouthfeel is reasonably carbonated, but that’s again, probably appropriate to style. Not bad, but not great.

A fair test of whether or not you like Pilsener. Dark golden color by comparison to what might label Pilsener. Hop flower aroma and a tart, crisp taste.
