Bottle... wasn’t a bad experience, but it did not stand out in any way. I would not buy this beer again.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Foamy, white head; dark, honey/straw-colored. Grassy, caramel and slight floral aromas. Crisp and hoppy up front, but this fades rather quickly and an unbalanced bitterness lingers. Very nicely carbonated, but mouthfeel is thin. Altogether, a nice example of a Czech pilsner (though not as quintessentially so as Pilsner Urquell) and a very drinkable beer.

Pour is crystal clear straw with a rich white head. Some head retention with good lacing. Slight floral nose which is dominated by corn. Tasting bring out more grain. Slight sweet malt taste which lingers throughout immediately followed by a bitter sweetness with a long dry finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
It has that typical central-European lager aroma that you can find nowhere else. I like it. I’m not even a lager-head, but I like the Czech lagers. Appearance is dark-golden with a typical central-European head. Taste is hops, yeast and fresh water. Maybe a little meaty. Soft carbonation and mild flavor make this an easy-drinking beer best with a group of friends.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2008 Pale amber lager. Slightly stale start with low carbonation but with some gentle middle and pleasing hoppy finish. Nice.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint, off tap. A golden pilsener, with a lasting rich white head. Hoppy aroma. Similar to other czech pilseners to taste, crisp, with a pleasant refreshing hoppy and almost metallic bite. The finish is similar, and lasting. One of my preferred lagers to drink, though seems slightly wanting in flavour.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a bad pilsner, more malty and less sharp than an Urquell. And at less than $1 per half liter in Prague, I can get sillier than a monkey parade down the Charles Bridge.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2010 Bottle 330ml. Average carbonation. Hoppy aroma with some hints of malt. Medium bitterness. Crisp mouthfeel and slightly bitter aftertaste. Okay, but nothing special. Tried it on tap and it’s better.

Duften er typisk humlet. Gylden, med lille hoved. Smagen er humlet, og en anelse bitter. Rigtig dejlig blřd og behagelig humle. Bestemt ikke nogen dĺrlig pilsner.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl green bottle. Poured a clear pale gold slightly carbonated. White frothy short-lived head. Apple cider nose. Crisp malt grassy flavour. Good mouthfeel. Short dry finish. If you’re in the mood for a cold lager this is as good as most and better than many. Easy to drink.
