COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Barva, pěna, vůně a chuť vytváří unikátní senzorický profil tohoto spodně kvašeného ležáku uvařeného z 2 druhů sladů a 5 druhů chmele, včetně žateckého, který je srdcem tohoto piva. Znalec ocení typickou pivní vůni a chuť, které ve vzájemné harmonii dávají tomuto středně až silně prokvašenému ležáku příjemnou pitelnost, ležákovou plnost s osvěžujícím řízem a obsahem alkoholu 5%. 12 EBC.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2015 Obfita, ale ?redniop?cherzykowa piana, szybko opad?a. Z?oto.

Draught @ Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London. Overall OK, nice colour, not that much carbonation.

Pours golden with small white head. Nice hoppy aroma and flavor, but unfortunately a little skunky. I would like to have this one minus the green bottle. Balance slightly more to the malt versus Urquell. Good example of this style.

ninecats (422) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2014
Bottle 33cl. Color is clear golden, vanilla-white foam settles quickly, some lacing. Aroma is malty bread, dust and minerals. Hint of citrus. Taste is kind of artificially malty, bitter hoppy, some over cooked vegetables and somewhat watery. Ends watery. Medium to high carbo, medium body. On tap this is great, on bottle it doesn’t hold up very good.

Ok, Ok, Ok call me crazy - I actually liked this. It surprised me for a pilsner (which I usually don’t like). Typical clear gold pour. Had a pleasant yeasty nose. A grassy start, floral hop middle, and surprisingly ok finish.

Obekräftade källor uppger att Staropramen betyder "kött och potatis" pĺ tjeckiska. Det var ju tur det, för det är väl ungefär vad det är. Varken bättre eller sämre.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2015 Works as an all-round pilsner. Decent bitterness in the flavour. Fits perfectly on a hot summer day.

Gold in color, skunky in aroma, thin, tinny & watery while bitter not from hops but from something objectionable. Either a bad bottle or a very bad beer...Drain pour

Bottle: Crystal clear gold with a thin white head. In the nose, floral hop notes sit over a metalic malt base with a touch of saltiness. In the mouth - bland, watery, golden malts with some pleasant grassy and floral hop flavours (touch of lemon too). Ok, but nothing to write home about.
