Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Barva, pěna, vůně a chuť vytváří unikátní senzorický profil tohoto spodně kvašeného ležáku uvařeného z 2 druhů sladů a 5 druhů chmele, včetně žateckého, který je srdcem tohoto piva. Znalec ocení typickou pivní vůni a chuť, které ve vzájemné harmonii dávají tomuto středně až silně prokvašenému ležáku příjemnou pitelnost, ležákovou plnost s osvěžujícím řízem a obsahem alkoholu 5%. 12 EBC.

With a green bottle and yellowed looking label I was expecting the worst but actually things turned out pretty good. The color was dead on with Pilsner Urquell but the head and lacing were not as durable, and it had a pleasant malty spicy aroma. On the short side of medium bodied, smooth and malty with a citrus tang and a mild bready note that developed as it warmed some. The finish lingered and was dry but not at all bitter. This beer definitely had the "Czech" quality to it and was quite drinkable, but seemed a wee bit skinny for a pils.

Nice pilsener appearance with a grainy, slightly skunky flavor. Probably pretty good in Prague, but beaten to hell here in CA.

11.2oz green bottle served in a pilsner glass. Poured a brilliant, pale gold with a couple of fingers of fine white bubbled head. Noble hop aroma with a slight metallic hint. Light bodied, very easy drinking. Clean flavor, some malt there, but not as much as I remember from drinking it before. Decent hop bite. Solid pilsner, good summertime drinking.

Kolor złoty, piwo całkowicie klarowne. Piana biała, niezbyt obfita. W kwestii wyglądu wszystko ok. Spore wysycenie. Goryczka średnia. W aromacie słody, czuć w miarę wyraźnie chmiel. W smaku słodowe. Rześkie, dobrze pijalne.

Yep, skunky, vegetal aroma. Tangy metallic Saaz hop taste with grain hints- your typical Bohunk pilsner, not as good as Pilsner Urquell. 20 years ago Czech Pilsners were my favorite beers, ah but I was so much older then- I’m younger than that now.

Crystal clear, golden, not much head. Looks like an average dark-ish lager in the glass. Pleasant malt notes in the aroma, vague hints of flowers and hops. Nice flavour, slightly bitter and dry in the aftertaste. Medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyed this, it definitely stand out from the pilsner crowd. In a warm summer night in Prague, at an outdoor restaurant, this would be a very good choice.

500ml bottle. Big, bubbly foam on a medium body. This beer is a malty-citric pils with tropical notes (ananas for ex.). Not bad, but there are sometimes too much of citric sometimes too much of bitter for me. Unbalanced a little.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2013 From bottle in Budapest; had this before in Prague a few years ago. This is an easy drinking, very reliable Pilsener without any bitter finish. Yes, there was better ones out there, though this is a good option in the category. I would buy this if it was available at home. On tap in Prague 09.03.13; very easy drinking ... I think I like this beer even more now
