2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
In my neverending challenge to find one pilsener of exceptional merit, I’ve been urged to drink 10 Staropramens before rating it. Here goes: Staropramen has a snow white cap with some staying power, a fleeting fruit aroma. It’s flavors are well balanced and range from earthy to vines to pure bitter. It finishes crisp, dry and alkaline bitter. As with most pils, Staropramen tastes far more manufactured, metallic, dim, wet and earthy than exceptional ales.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Extremely skunky aroma, head that looks like halfway dried caulk. Slightly grainy, bready taste as long as I hold my breath. Not something that will be repeated unless I could get it a lot fresher than in a bottle in the US.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500 mL bottle. Orangey-yellow with a bit of sticky head. Grassy aroma. Highly carbonated. Don’t like the malt in the taste (personal preference) - not enough hops. It is thin but crisp. I don’t think pilsener is my thing.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle: Poured golden with an ample white head. Very little aroma, but perhaps a little whiff of skunk. Not really a lot going on flavour wise. Very thin without the hoppy bitterness of most pils. Not offensive in anyway....just really boring. I won’t be rushing out to try it again.

Pours golden orange with a small slightly fizzy head - looks slightly carbonated. Very sweet aroma with notes of malt and some skunkyness. Some caramel in the flavour, but mostly bitter, light to medium body.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
33cl green bottle. Plain golden color, white froth. aroma of an unflavorful, bland, grapefruit and a the aroma of the inside of a box of Saltine Crackers. Sweet flavored body up in the front. Hint of spiciness in the finish, from the hops. Good hops! Very easy to drink. Definitely a beer that my girlfriend would drink while we were traveling through eastern Europe. So slow for me.

Pours a golden color with prominent carbonation and a slight white head. Aroma is faintly hoppy and malty. Taste is same, though rather watery and forgettable.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Golden with a moderate head. The aroma is like wet hops and I find the same note in the flavour, that initially is slightly sweet. Nicely hopped with a good bitterness.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Very clean and crisp. Aroma is faint malts, corn, grass, some hops, and skunk. Flavor is watered down, and sweet malts. Decent beer, not anything too special.
