2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (10935) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - OCT 30, 2012
Found in Montenegro. Bronze colour with gentle carbonation. The aroma is malt-forward with light hop. The taste is something approaching a helles, with a lot of clean pale malts, but with a hint of caramel as well. Not a bad beer, if a bit boring.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Slayer85 (979) - Firenze, ITALY - OCT 13, 2012
Bottle. A clear golden and sparkling beer, with an average sized, frothy, lightly lacing white head. The aroma is lightly malty (creal, hint of bread), lightly hoppy (grass), with a touch of vegetables. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, rather dry but short finish with almost moderate bitterness. Passable and enough clean, but one I’ll remember.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Bottle in Kotor, Montenegro. Dark gold with tight, dense, white head. Aroma is very clean, as are the flavors. The hopping is earthy, and peppery but dull, and the malts are straightforward, certainly not sweet, but unexciting. I like that it’s dry, and I like that the body is sturdy. It’s not swill. I have a feeling when this is fresh out of the brewing kettle, it is better. Uninspired but solid.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 luttonm (1629) - Belgrade, SERBIA - SEP 7, 2012
.5l Bottle from around Belgrade. Brewed in Apatin. Spritely metallic oil of grain. Pretty standard sour lager with some balancing warmth of hops. Quite sweet, fruity sourish lager. muddy flavors but drinkable, a bit of a surprise, it isn’t terrible.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 mzaar (883) - Varberg, SWEDEN - AUG 24, 2012
Flaska 50 cl. Mörkorange öl med stort vitt skum. Gräs, örter och svagt av melon i aromen. Smaken är riktigt, riktigt bra. Först möter en beska munnen, sen tar bär, vanilj, kola, örter och gräs över. Inte dum alls.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 heavy (1954) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 19, 2012
0.5 l bottle. It poured full golden body with medium sized head. Weak grainy, malty and dusty aroma. Bitter flavor, quite crude grainy, some herbal hops, touch of caramel that makes it interesting. Medium in body, overly carbonated. Finish was quite long, herbal hop and generally bitter. Too crude for anything similar to Bohemian pils, but I guess that is "the man’s stuff" as they advertise it. Average lager with interesting notes.
