2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Heavily discounted 750ml from Pinocchio’s, Media. Okay, I confess to expecting something in the low 3’s, not having been impressed by anything I’ve had from Starr Hill previously. Even by those expectations, this was a big let-down. Dingy rust-colored pour, not much carbonation to it. Messy yeast, phenols, brackish and sweet in roughly equal measure. Overbearingly chewy and sweet in the taste, combined with the occasional impression of being spoilt.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tap at CK thanks to Travlr. Clear orange amber pour. Weak foam. Acetone, spices, sweat/salt, thick candies in the nose. Taste is papery, chalky, astringent. Undrinkable. Oversteeped character- palate destroying astringency.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a copper orange color with an initial aroma of skunk, peaches, and apricot- so not very appealing. However, as the beer warms the peaches and apricot become more pervasive with a flavor that matches with some caramel. Overall, a decent beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Starr Hill brought back by the ex-wife. Bottled on 07/18/12. No idea if this is the same as the All Access Belgian Strong Ale. Amber pour with a short white head. Aroma is sweet malt, fruit notes, light caramel, soft spice and yeast notes. Taste is floral notes, sweet malt, candied fruit, light spice, soft grassy notes, and yeast notes. Body is medium with a creamy carbonation. Ends with more sweet malt, candied fruit, light spice, dusty yeast, flowery notes, and tropical fruit.
