On tap at Porterís, Raleigh. Dark brown pour with a very lively carbonation, cola bubbles on top. Strongly spiced and surprisingly sweet nose, whereas I was expecting something more dusky and muted. But I suppose itís a pumpkin porter in the way of most pumpkin beers, that is to say: nutmeg and allspice covering up whatís a fairly indistinct base beer.

Bottle PKG ON 09/11/14. Nose is heavy pumpkin pie spice with a little earthy malt but really only a little. Deep red-brown pour, not quite enough to hit critical mass and appear black in the glass, also a foamy tan head. Taste medium bitter (!) with earth and a little vegetal matter, light spicing but some astringency. Thankfully not heavy on clove and cinnamon (this oneís basically all nutmeg with a little allspice), the dark and roasty porter can shine through, unfortunately itís not a great one.

On tap at Blend. Taste: Some pumpkin, but mostly a weak porter. Adhy aftertaste. Appearance: datk black pour, no head.

Black pour from bottle. Off white head. Spicy cinnamon sugary aroma. Sweet and candy like. Bitter aftertaste. Pumpkin beer at its best in this porter

Bottle. Pours a deep brown color with off white head. A lot of pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, brown sugar, malty aromas. Pumpkin, a lot of spices, slight roasty flavors. Pretty heavily spiced pumpkin beer. Not digging this one to much.

12 oz bottle. (Martin's) Winchester, VA. Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny tan head. Strong aroma of spices, sweetness, malt, Coke, vegetables and some candies in the aroma. The flavour is... very bad... with spices, Dr Pepper, Coke, sweetness, gingerbread, mild roasty notes and some hops. Unbalanced and unpleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the worst porters I’ve ever had. So thin, watery even. Coffee, pumpkin pie spices in aroma and taste, but not in unison. Bleh.

bottled - tastes and smells like a cross between a pumpkin beer and a porter - hence the name I guess. Not bad and not great. Drinkable. Nice color and mouthfeel.

Not great. Seems like a porter base would pair well with the pumpkin- but in this case it was decent idea, poor execution. Pours a transparent brown- body too thin. Pumpkin spices seem overly prevalent with little malt/hop backbone. Watered down. Balance is off. Just Meh.

Draught. This is a middling brew without a whole lot going for it. The pumpkin flavor tastes over wrought.

Dark pour with minimalish but splashy head. Smell is pumpkin spice, little bit of roast. Taste is really bland with some light pumpkin flavors and a weakish porter base.
