Parting gift courtesy of GT2, thanks! Extremely dark brown, medium brown head. Aroma of burnt squash and dark cocoa. Taste is oddly sour dark fruit. I like the aroma, the taste is OK, especially for a 5% beer.

Draft. Poured clear hazy orange copper color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid doughy pumpkin and small alcohol aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium balanced pumpkin sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid seasonal beer.

Cask at Rustico. Pours dark brown to black with a medium, bubbly tan head, medium-long retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, roast, nutty, chocolate), no hops, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Flavor is malt dominant with pumpkin pie spices and no bitterness. Medium body, low warmth and carbonation with a dry finish.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Served on cask at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA on 7/10/11. Pours a very dark brown color with a large tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of pumpkin, more pumpkin and spices. The taste is pumpkin, spices, roasted malts and a lightly bitter finish. Fairly generic, but a decent beer.

12oz bottle, free, birthday party, thanks Kennon. Pours deep red brown with medium, thick beige head. Good lace. Nose is metallic, doggy, underneath is excellent allspice and nutmeg medley, melted chocolate truffle. Taste is lighter, slightly metallic, quite earthy, soil, quite bitter. No sugar, low spice, not too dusty. Thinner.

Bottle from Capone’s and on draft at Capone’s. Bottled version rated here. Pours turbid thick deep blackish brackish brown with tan head. Nose is roasty dark malt, pumpkin puree and spice, mild hops and popcorn butter. Tastes malty, with hints of cacao, pumpkin, allspice, and a medium palate. Overall good but not great.

12oz bottle: Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a stringy-lacing light beige head. Has a lightly sweet toasted bready nose with some cinnamon and allspice. Starts with average fullness and mild dark caramel sweetness with some nutty notes and a touch of pumpkin with a decent amount of nutmeg and clove spice before a thinner finish. Could use a little more body, but is very drinkable.

12 oz bottle. (Martin's) Winchester, VA. Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny tan head. Strong aroma of spices, sweetness, malt, Coke, vegetables and some candies in the aroma. The flavour is... very bad... with spices, Dr Pepper, Coke, sweetness, gingerbread, mild roasty notes and some hops. Unbalanced and unpleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
