Bottle from a trade with ksurkin. Pours dark golden color with off white head. Citrus aroma with some sweet malts. Sweet grapefruit and caramel flavors with some other citrus also. Medium body with average carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Thanks Ken.

(Draft from Whole Foods) Bright copper body with a bid, foamy off-white head. Great floral, fruity hop aroma: grapefruit, orange, sweet, and very floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, a little sticky. Alcohol is pretty evident, and it has a warming finish. Very bitter flavor; has grapefruit, rose, lemon, moderately sweet. Long, bitter finish.

Pours bright mango skin flesh orange with one finger of creamy yellowish head. Nose is rich and resinous, notes of grapefruit rind and apricot over a sweet malt character. Flavor is rich and a bit more bitter than i’d like. Not as dry as it should be. Grapefruit rind bitterness on the finish.

Orange peel and grapefruit peel aroma. Slightly hazy amber, medium cream colored head, good lacing. Powerfully bitter lemon zest initially. Grapefruit peel reveals itself at midpalate with a lesser degree of bitterness. Very very tinny. Somewhat resinous. Despite the detractors, Starr Hill went all in with the hops. Decent IIPA.

Thanks emacgee for sharing. Golden amber with thin white head. Nose is big grapefruit, light floral and pine, some sweet buttery malts. Flavor is bitter grapefruit, sweetness is minimal. Chalky and astringent finish. Meh.

Bottle. Amber bodied with a short, foamy tan head. Strong citrus, spicy hops, floral notes, caramel and sweet malt in the nose. Taste is big citrus, orange rinds, grapefruit pulp, spicy hops, caramel, sweet malt, and floral notes. Body is medium with a strong, creamy carbonation and a lingering resinous and bitter mouthfeel. Finishes with more spicy hosp, citrus resins, grapefruit, light pine, caramel, and sweet malt. Some tropical fruit as well.

On tap at Duckworths. Pours clear golden orange with white head. Aromas of grapefruit, little bit of pine, some caramel, and hops. Flavors of grapefruit citrus, pine, caramel malts, and bitter hops. Carbonation is a little light, but finishes with bitter hops. Nice hops flavor, but mouthfeel is off.

On tap at Galaxy Hut. Served in a pint glass. Pours a nice golden-orange color with a two-finger white head and some pretty good lacing as it makes its way down the sides of the pint glass. The nose brings a pretty good amount of citrus hops with a bit of pine and resin. Definite strong hop component. The flavor brings a very strong bitterness along with mild notes of grapefruit and orange, though those flavors aren’t as strong as would be predicted from the nose. A bit of light pine exists as well. The mouthfeel is medium with a good amount of bitterness and a moderately-dry finish. Drinks quite well and might be the best thing that I’ve had from Starr Hill.
