3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear golden orange with a white head - good retention; horizontal streaks of lace. The taste is full-bodied caramel malt in a dead heat with solid pine hops. The two tastes intertwine effectively through a lingering finish. This is a big bodied IPA (without the 8%abv being noticeable) that is a pleasure to drink. Highly recommended.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Mariís. Pours clear orange with a big off white head, lots of carbonation. The aroma has a nice citrus hop start, some caramel malt, light grass. The taste is pretty darn bitter, almost a dry bitter punch. The up front bitterness is a true assault on the palate. The balance is limited but this guy gets it done.. must be hopped several times. Palate is a little thin for the style which could make this go down way to quick. Nicely done.

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium yellow to light amber. Nice lacing on glass. Aroma is awful, smells like a wet dog. Drinkable, but wouldn't buy again.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This IPA gonna cause any panic at Stone or Bellís or Sierra Nevada. Nonetheless, it is a pretty respectable little double. Itís a clear orange in color with an average head that doesnít lace one bit, and the aroma is all lemon, tangerine and pine. Thereís big hops all over the taste, with a little bit of smooth malt coming through and all the same tones that are there in the aroma. There are better IPAs that donít cost as much, and for that reason I wonít buy this one again. But the price is my only real complaint with this brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a small white head a lot of lacing. Aroma of hops some citrus and malts. Taste very consistent sweet from malts balanced with a very nice bitterness of hops and citrus fruit. Easy to drink because it is not too hoppy and it is quite refreshing.

Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Smells of spruce, citrus. Taste is bitter and moderately sweet - grapefruit, brown bread, hint of spruce.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear coppery gold, with a cm of dense white head. Aroma is rich citrus and malt., and taste is the same, with a quick drying finish that feels like water chemistry. Bitterness is moderate, and also quite fleeting, with green herbal notes lingering into the end. $2.5/12oz

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2013 Bright and dirty. Tons of hoops added at odd times. Strong bitterness, the main double element to this. odd sweetness at random times. Did not execute on this one.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle Nose big and pungently hoppy, citrus and rind with lesser pine and tons of Simcoe, though itís moved from paper/catty to something else, something tangy, and I love its force here. Little tufts of malt and yeast wend their ways through the great dry hopping. Pours transparent orange with a lean toward copper, head is stable but thin, oily legs are there but the minimum lace is broken and unordered. Taste has sweetness from the hops, strong bitterness over the tang, bitterness lasts until the very end, alcohol burn and rough edges do as well. Citrus and flat-edged caramel, mild astringency and a touch of rubber, and woody, but the dank, claustrophobic Simcoe pervades and it works quite well fresh. Intense! Chest-tightening, burly full body, alcoholic and kicks a little like bottom-shelf whiskey. For its obvious faults, this is just the beer for me in this moment.
