On tap in a small glass. Pours amber with a lacy head. Aroma of citrusy hops and some caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent double IPA.

Copper color, slight dissipating head..not much going on with the nose..quite a bit notice of sweet malt..mouthfeel and palate are noticeably thin..Really find this hard to believe this is 8.5...

Pours a clear orange-copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is balanced between sweet and floral. Flavor is a bit more bitter than sweet. Decently balanced, but not a ton of good floral flavor. Malt and hops in large amount though. Not bad.

12 ounce thanks to beerandfishin. Amber like beer. Some tropical fruit. Malty with some pineapple. Not getting a huge Double IPA experience like some have claimed. Maybe older bottle?

Pour is murky gold with a sticky mostly white head. Pineapple and citrus hop aroma. The flavor is moderately bitter all the way to the finish. Needs a little malt to balance and to get this away from the hop juice category.

12oz bottle, thanks to Andrew. Bottled 8/09/12. Thin khaki head, leaves some lace. Reddish amber mostly clear color. Crisp lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Resiny piney hop flavor. Little bite. Big bitterness. Something lacking to this, though. An imbalance, but not bad at all, satisfying enough after my 9 hour drive

an impressive IPA considering I had heard nothing about it. Refreshing, balanced, yum!

Bottle poured a hazy orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, mustiness, grapefruit and pine. Palate was light bodied and risp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Poured this beer from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a very cloudy amber-orange color with some slight sediment and a good-sized foamy white head with solid retention, great cling, and good lacing. Its aroma featured some spice, citrus, pine, and floral hops, and touches of barley malt beneath. The taste was grainy and bitter with some lighter citrus, and a modest sour grain effect too. It was a lively, fizzy beer with good carbonation, and was very dry, but with a thick, filling mouthfeel.

Bottle and draft in Williamsburg, VA. Pours translucent medium copper with 1-finger frothy white head. Nose is pungent cheesy Simcoe hops, caramel malt, pine, tangerine, black pepper. Tastes Somcoey, with that pungent tangerine and pineapply citrus, caramel malt, black pepper, and a hoppy, bitter finish.
