3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy citrus hop aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation and soft alcohol bite at the finish. Solid brew.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a very hazy orange color with some sediment. Creamy off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus and caramel. Some pepper and pine. Taste has lots of pepper and spices with citrus and pine. Great sweet malty flavors to back up the hops. Smooth throughout. Aftertaste has caramel and some creamy candy. Very good.

Large off white head with fair retention and lace.Slightly hazy copper/amber hued ale. Nose of grainy malts and some co2. medium bodied, somewhat astringent and a bit carbonated, prickly. Dry and somewhat astringent malt flavors. cant find much for hops, maybe slight grassy notes, metallic(not the good kind either!). Dry, astringent finish. Thats enough of that shit. Must of gotten a bad bottle by the appearences of the other ratings. Hooof!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy coppery color with a small eggy head. Nose is resiny with light orange and citrusy notes. Palate is pretty thick with a light bite and a sticky swollen tongue. Flavors of resiny hops, light pine and citrus, some real doughy notes to boot.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Super hazy copper coloured body with a nice orange glow and a thin one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, grapefruit, earthy malt, alcohol and a bit of basementy must. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep strong earthy and herbal hop note with a bright grapefruity and lemony flavour with a lot of alcohol and a long-lasting flavour. Aftertaste shows some herbal notes, but mostly a bright and earthy hop flavour with a good malt balance and some alcohol tucked in. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA on the lighter side, but still showing a ton of hops, a lot of alcohol and a more herbal and citrus fruit flavour - plus the small format bottle helps. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, DC on 28-October-2011 for US$2.99 sampled at home in Washington on 17-April-2012.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy, orangish pour with white head, little lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, oranges, and lemons. Taste is sweet, mild bitterness, but mostly on the back end. Overall, I like this one quite a bit. Well balanced, nice flavor, smooth, and I really like the citrus aromas on every drink.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours from the bottle an amber-orange hue, with an initial 2-finger froth that diminishes to a thin soapy cap that leaves thick window-wash lacing down the glass. The nose is of floral and citrus notes, nicely integrated. Flavors of grapefruit lay on top of a caramel malt, with bran cereal hitting mid-palate and a dry Simcoe hop finish... quite citrusy. The full body accompanies an oily mouthfeel, making for a substantively active palate, complete with noted (yet subtle) carbonation. This is a very nice IIPA, and its complexities are well-integrated and enjoyable.
