COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grateful creates a fresh spin on the American Pale Ale tradition. A strong citrusy, resinous aroma from the American hops leads into a light body with subtle malt flavor. Grateful is a sessionable brew at 4.7% abv.

12 ounce bottle. Bright yellow gold with a large foamy white head. Fresh citrus, pine hop aroma. Light toasted malt nose, as well. Light toasted malt flavor with a slight metallic note. Grassy hops with a slight citrus twang. Dry hop finish. Ordinary, at best.

Hangover (1056) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Clear, golden pour with a decent sized, creamy white head. Aroma isn’t very strong, primarily grapefruit. Medium bodied, pleasant amount of carbonation. Grapefruit and orange flavor. Malt profile is solid - very well balanced for a low abv brew with this much hoppiness. Nothing very unique about it though. Maybe a bit too citrusy.

Drought. Pours bright yellow with white foamy head, yeast aroma, bitter yeasty taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Quite a forgettable experience.

A true session beer. Citrus hops, pale malts, light citrus really dominate this APA. Hop dominant in the forefront. Then a bit sweet before turning just a bit bitter. It just didn’t hit it out of the park. Too cliche. Enjoyable though.

a nice balance of hops and malt, although a bit too malt-y, filling and full-bodied for my taste. still a nice flavor and slightly better than expected. not my favorite starr hill product, but pretty good.

bottle. hazy gold with a lively appearance and medium sized white head. clean, fresh hop of lemon peel and white grapefruit. flavor is bright and a mix of floral and white citrus. no caramel sweetness, maybe a honey malt. drinks light and refreshing. just a hint of vegetal from possible dry hop. a very enjoyable APA to say the least. i preferred this over the ipa (northern lights).

Clear golden coloured body with a light copper glow and a very thin, single centimetre thick just off-white head. Aroma of light citrusey and resinous hops with some light sweetness, a hint of alcohol and a bit of pine and grapefruit. Light-bodied; Sharp deep hoppy notes with grass, herbs and resin the strongest flavours and a bit of malt near the end, but a very light and easy to drink beer. Aftertaste shows the dry hops and a hint of alcohol flavours, but almost no malt, no real depth and no pungency. Overall, a very nice light summer beer with tons of flavour still from the dry hopping and herbal notes. Great to sample and for the season (middle of summer) and style, this beer is great - definitely worth trying if you live in a hot area and you like hops! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Falls Church, Virginia on 22-April-2014 for US$1.49 sampled at home in Washington on 26-May-2014.

Tap at Golden Crust, Red Lion, PA. Pours light gold, small head, moderate lacing. Aroma of light grapefruit, herbs. Taste slightly sweet from the malts, citrus, piney bitterness from the hops. Body is rather light, medium carbonation. Finishes dry with some lemon like bitterness. Middle of the road pale ale.
