3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 Draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear pale golden color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus and pine hops and faint pale malts. The taste is pale malts, citrus and buttered popcorn. Medium bodied. I see the other ratings of this are much better than mine, so Iíll try to re-rate from a bottle or a different keg. 7/4/4/2/11
Rerate.... Bottle this time. Better balance, and the buttered popcorn comes across as more doughy malts. They should know theyíre lucky I even bothered this much of a re-rate after I just sampled the complete abomination that is the last batch of Bourbon Cryptical.7/4/7/4/14

Clear yellow pour with fair offwhite head. Nose was okay grapefruity citrus but the flavor is where this thing fell down. LOTS of metallic offnotes. Almost like blood. The citrus and hop profile was there, but it wasnít all that great either. Definitely a dissapointment from these guys.

Deep gold, not amber :). Aroma is grapefruit, pine, peach. Flavor is lighter, some earthy hops, light malts and high bitterness. Wish flavor matched aroma, but not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a nice gold color with a frothy white head. The nose has a slight fruity and tropical note leaning more towards the malty biscuit side. The flavor isnít as aggressive as the nose and thatís not a good thing. The hops are forward with a nice bit of fruitiness, but not as prominent as I hoped. A bit of earthiness and biscuit round things out. A little thin on the tongue. Okay.
